@PhilRodgers Curious to know exactly where they thought it might bring it in to play. They weren’t even close anywhere in City unless I missed something.

Quite a lot of Reform UK candidates and activists here considering it's a Cambridge count. They have brought a large disc with the Reform logo on which may come into play later.

There's more agreement about South Cambs, where @poll_checker has the Lib Dems winning in 23 wards, with three for the Conservatives, while @BritainVotesNow has 23 LD, 2 Con, 1 Green. The 26 wards elect 45 councillors altogether.

Two rather contrasting ward-level projections for the Cambridge local elections - @poll_checker (left) has 5 LD, 4 Lab, 4 Green, 1 Con, while @BritainVotesNow (right) is expecting a dramatic 11 Green, 2 LD, 1 Lab

Absolute honour to attend this and hear about the brilliant cross-party work ahead of this vital bill. Special shout out to the brilliant amendment work by @emily4MK and @justinmadders and a huge thank you to @refpoliticalads for all they do and for organising these events.

The room filling up for our Parliamentary event "Preventing Disinformation in UK Elections" with the @FairElectionsUK APPG. A great turnout of MPs and a once in a generation opportunity to change the outdated rules for our elections with the Representation of the People Bill.

@ElizabethMcWill @PhilRodgers I don’t want potholes filled, I want road resurfaced and regularly maintained, as it happens in places much poorer than Cambridge. And works done well. It’s unacceptable for eg Hills road to crumble into dust few years after completion

@puzzleGen @PhilRodgers Also highways: we all want potholes filled! We can’t have social care for a population that has longer life expectancy, and no potholes without paying for it! As I say, this is not party point scoring on my part as not LD! I don’t understand how you have those and low council tax

@puzzleGen @PhilRodgers It’s completely unfair to compare the enormous outgoings of a county council that has to fund the ever increasing burden of social care (well over 90% of its entire budget) with district level councils. I say this regardless of party politics.

In South Cambridgeshire, where 45 councillors will be elected in 26 seats, the @BritainVotesNow model shows the Lib Dems as most likely winners in all 26. This isn't completely impossible, but I think a small number of non-Lib-Dem wins is more likely. britain.votes.now/local-election…

Ward-level projections for May's local elections in Cambridge from @BritainVotesNow. They rate Labour as most likely winners in 8 wards, the Lib Dems and Greens in 3 each. Personally I don't think Labour are likely to do anything like as well as this. britain.votes.now/local-election…

@refpoliticalads @borofergie 2/2 They go on to say ‘Elections in our area are always a clear choice between your Lib Dem team and the Conservatives’ and yet in 4 of the last 5 locals in this ward/division, Lab were 2nd to LDs!

@refpoliticalads @borofergie In Milton & Waterbeach ward Focus it’s the usual interchangeable elections trick & alternative facts. Recent one claimed ‘last time’ Lab were third ‘here’ charting GE24 result for whole constituency & ignoring County ’25 where Lab 2nd in Milton & WB division. 1/2

@refpoliticalads @borofergie Also, so many errors (neither the Ref nor Con bar - whichever is supposed to be 17 - is less than half of the LD bar), including a typo in their party name!
