@alicekeeler It's less what is the and more of the way we change our teaching. The tool is just a tool. The instruction is more important. Even if I was stuck with a overhead my instruction would still be miles a head of where it was. My now is better instruction, the tools are extra.

This is from many years ago. If "Then" was Google Slides... what is the new "Now" ? #googleEDU

@alicekeeler This has been our go to this season of unshared supplies. Or while waiting in line for a quick family math game.

@ModestTeacher You are 100% correct, but the struggle can be coming up with a grade level appropriate way to go deeper. Teachers only have so much time! These options for enrichment should be available for teachers!

If a kid gets a 100% on the pre-test then don’t make them take the post-test.

Student teachers should be paid (at least enough to pay rent)... you can't expect people to not be paid for a semester and think they can pay their bills. How many people just do not go into teaching because they can not afford to do free student teaching?

@alicekeeler @VictoriaTheTech In CA we hire 50% interns currently, which means they get paid for student teaching. Thoughts? Getting paid vs getting trained

@TeamLuetjen I often add, I will wait for at least 1 good question when even saying 'Ask me a question' doesn't create dialogue. Works great, usually end up with more than 1 ?

Allowing students to sketchnote an outline or first draft of a writing assignment can dramatically improve the quality of the thinking and writing. kqed.org/mindshift/5465…

Ss need to learn to apply skills and create just receive information. How are your student's CREATOR of digital technology and not only consumers? What about within the learning process and not only at the end of a unit? #Gteachertribe #edtech #mathchat #fourthgrade

A2: That is the big step for a lot of Ts 1:1. Ss as creators not just consumers. We are creating a 'products library website' for Ss to see various ways they can show their knowledge with directions allowing Ts to NOT be an expert in all. #DitchBook

@KarlyMoura @Seesaw We only use our iPad minis for PLTW. I found so much strong stuff on chromebooks that I haven't gone back.

A1: We use chromebooks so I'm less likely to use mobile apps, but so many apps & sites have changed the way Ss create and interact with their learning #Ditchbook
