The Republican Party is telling us, with brimming confidence and zero shame, that it intends to make it harder for its opponents to vote and easier to control the outcome of elections. They are prepared to use every tool available to stay in power. democracydocket.com/opinion/there-…

This isn’t some anonymous tip. This is sworn testimony, under penalty of perjury, from someone who said Trump threatened to kill her if she exposed Epstein’s sexual abuse.

A UAE investor secretly gave Trump $187 million and his top Middle East envoy $31 million. And then Trump gave that investor access to sensitive defense technology that broke decades of national security precedent. Brazen, open corruption. And we shouldn't pretend it's normal.

I am a Ukrainian Nobel Peace Prize Laureate. I have a question.  Why has Trump's year of negotiations been the deadliest for civilians in Ukraine since the full-scale invasion? The number of deaths and injuries has increased by 31 percent compared to the previous year. Why did Putin not allow himself such brutal strikes on civilian infrastructure under Biden, whom Trump calls “weak,” but totally destroys peaceful cities and disregards the “strong Trump”? Rahman: On January 13th, on the way to my 39th appointment at the traumatic brain injury center, I encountered a traffic jam caused by ICE vehicles and no signs indicating how to get around it. I had not wanted to pull into a block to chaotic intersection but verbally agreed to do so and rolled down my window after an agent yelled, "Move, I will break your f'ing window."  There were conflicting threats and instructions that I could not process while watching for pedestrians. Then the glass of the passenger side window flew across my face. I yelled, "I am disabled!," at the hands grabbing at me and the agent said, "Too late." An agent pulled a large combat knife in front of my face. Which I thought was for cutting me. And later learned was used to cut off my seatbelt. Shooting pain went through my head, neck and wrists when I hit the ground face first and people leaned on my back.  I was carried facedown through the street by my cuffed arms and legs while yelling that I had a brain injury and was disabled.

If Congress doesn’t act, the last nuclear arms control treaty between the U.S. and Russia will expire. It would pointlessly wipe out decades of diplomacy, and could spark another arms race that makes the world less safe. This piece is worth the read. nytimes.com/2026/01/30/opi…

Trump has forced all of Europe to discuss the completely invented threat of Russian annexation of Greenland and thereby ignore the actual Russian war and annexation in Ukraine. Very regrettable. In Davos, the paramount subject should be Ukraine, not Greenland.

Brooklyn Park Police Chief Mark Bruley: "The last 2 weeks we as a law enforcement community have been receiving endless complaints about civil rights violations in our streets from US citizens. What we're hearing is they're being stopped in traffic stops or on the street with no cause and being demanded to show paperwork to determine if they are here legally. We started hearing from our police officers the same complaints as they fell victim to this while off duty. Every one of these individuals is a person of color ... it has to stop"

I prosecuted a UK billionaire and the former governor of Puerto Rico on bribery charges. Trump pardoned them after millions went to MAGA Inc. I believe those pardons were rewards for $$$ paid to Trump’s SuperPAC. And that this Administration is corrupt to the core.

ICE detain yet another U.S. citizen in California—leave him bloodied & injured. "He’s U.S. citizen," said his boss. "They’re racially profiling people based on skin color and accent." Agents tackle employee still in uniform & drag across pavement—bleeding from his neck & legs. "They didn’t identify themselves—three guys just dragged him into the car." James Perry agreed to be interviewed as the manager at Valvoline Express Care located on North State College Boulevard in Anaheim, California.

ICE detain U.S. Army Purple Heart Veteran for hours—deny access to lawyer. Agents gang tackle him to ground—severely injure his face. "They did offer me a band-aid," he said. "But I’d rather have a lawyer than band-aid when being detained." The Iraq combat veteran was wounded during his military service and medically retired from the U.S. Army—awarded the Purple Heart. ICE claims they denied him access to his lawyer because he didn't know his full name—which he couldn't provide as they had also taken his phone. William Vermie was then locked up for 8 more hours at the Bishop Henry Whipple Federal Building in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

🚨 ICE IS DETAINING A CITIZEN AS “UNDOCUMENTED.” 🚨 DHS has now transferred Dulce Consuelo Diaz Morales to Texas. Dulce Consuelo Diaz Morales was born in a hospital in Laurel, Maryland. Her official birth certificate exists. It has been posted. It is not in dispute. Despite this, DHS has moved her from Maryland 👉 Louisiana 👉 now Texas, while continuing to falsely claim she is not a U.S. citizen. Read that again. A documented U.S. BORN citizen is being treated as deportable. It gets worse. A federal judge has explicitly ordered DHS that they are NOT allowed to deport her or alter her legal status, stating: “Respondents… are enjoined from removing Petitioner Dulce Consuelo Diaz Morales from the United States or altering her legal status during the pendency of this action.” Yet, DHS continues to transfer her between states, even moving her to Texas before allowing her to speak with her attorney about the transfer. That is not normal procedure. That is not due process. Throughout all of this, DHS continues to insist she is not a U.S. citizen, in direct contradiction of her birth records and a standing court order. This is not an error. This is a test. If the government can override documentation, ignore a judge, and move a citizen at will, then citizenship becomes conditional… and revocable by force. If this can happen to her, it can happen to anyone.

Democrats’ run states and cities control about 78% of the United States economy and GDP. And despite contributing ~80% of revenues, blue states receive only ~73% of federal spending, creating a net transfer of wealth from blue to red states, estimated at over $1 trillion.
CALL TO ACTIVISM@CalltoActivism

🚨BREAKING: Trump claims “every Democratic state is a failure.” Funny - Democratic states power the economy, lead in jobs, and fund the red states that keep electing him. Facts don’t care about his tantrums.

Here are a couple of reasons why Rubio is a vile piece of shit for saying all the below. 1.“It’s not our war” is deliberate moral laundering Rubio knows the United States is not a neutral spectator. Washington is a principal architect and guarantor of the European security order, a signatory to the Budapest Memorandum, and the single most influential external actor shaping the war through arms, intelligence, sanctions, and diplomacy. Saying “not our war” while controlling decisive variables is a calculated attempt to enjoy leverage without responsibility. 2.“Another continent” is cowardice dressed up as geography This is not analysis. It is abdication. Europe is the core of the US alliance system and the foundation of American global credibility. If borders in Europe can be changed by force, every US security guarantee worldwide becomes suspect. Distance does not reduce obligation. It exposes unwillingness to own consequences. 3.“Complex factors” is how you hide an aggressor There is nothing unclear about causality. One state invaded another, annexed territory, targets civilians, and commits documented war crimes. Invoking “complexity” as the headline explanation is moral fog designed to blur responsibility until accountability evaporates. 4.“Only the US can talk to both sides” is imperial narcissism This line flatters American self image while ignoring reality. The war persists not because mediators are missing, but because the aggressor believes time and pressure will deliver gains. Ukraine’s conditions for talks align with international law. Rewarding conquest is not peacemaking. Claiming unique US indispensability here is self mythologizing, not diplomacy. 5.The logic leads to pressuring the victim, not the aggressor Strip the rhetoric away and the outcome is obvious. The invaded country is nudged to concede territory, the invader keeps the spoils, and a precedent is set that wars of conquest pay if you wait long enough. That is not peace. It is the normalization of imperial violence. 6.Why this makes him vile Because he understands deterrence, alliance credibility, and history, and still chooses language that minimizes US responsibility, obscures the aggressor’s guilt, and conditions the public to accept betrayal as realism. This is not ignorance. It is intentional moral corruption for political convenience. Bottom line. The war continues because the aggressor still believes it can win. Statements like Rubio’s help sustain that belief by softening blame and preparing the ground for a bad peace that rewards aggression.
