@ahmedFF1181368 @martinez_clips No, a PhD is not the same as citizenship. A PhD is an academic degree, whereas citizenship is a LEGAL status. If I go to Japan, and get citizenship, do I become japanese?

@ElliotHaisee @martinez_clips Well it aplies the same logic. You also need some requirements to get a citizenship. For example have lived legally in Germany for five years, possess a permanent right of residence, have B1 German language skills, and support yourself without public funds. Same logic

@ElliotHaisee @martinez_clips Well a PhD is also a piece of paper???? but it officially makes you a doctor. Not because of the paper itself, but because institutions recognize that, with this document, you are a doctor. The same logic applies to citizenship.
