Car thoughts please chaps @A1GOY @sniffpetrol @Carpervert wife has sadly put an end to my coupe search (was lusting after a 981s Cayman) and have narrowed cars I’d like to try to a Macan GTS or an RS3 (both 2017). Any experience/strong feelings on either?

@revslimiter @A1GOY @sniffpetrol @Carpervert A colleague of mine had a lovely Quad Fog in that striking blue for a few years, Fabulous to look at and listen to but it never felt particularly well screwed together and the interior just didn’t cut the mustard imo.

@sniffpetrol @A1GOY @Carpervert We’ve got 2 beagles and sprogs on back order but we have an Ioniq 6 for those duties. Her concern is that there may come a point where one of us needs to take dogs and the other children or visa versa and having 2 “practical” cars would be less troublesome

Also on whether you think maintaining full dealer history will help future value. I’d wager full history which includes specialists is just as good as full main dealer

Dad’s taken a deposit on his Rolls Royce today which was the last vehicle I thought he’d be able to sell but not I’m complaining. Zephyr has met its reserve so is selling providing he doesn’t get messed about. But speaking of messed about, he’d sold his 2012 Jaguar XFS until the fella rang on Tuesday to say he couldn’t have it anymore as his Jag XK8 had broken down and couldn’t afford to fix his plus buy this one 😅🙄 Should be a facelift on a 12 plate - isn’t so not sure if it sat around for a while and was registered late. Quite a rare option in having a sunroof, think it’s the luxury model so has an alright specification. 3.0D S with 275bhp.
