@rezakhadjavi Political capital is often acquired via existential threat/war — Look at Putins bump in the polls after the Ukraine invasion.
Not saying the conflict has anything to do with Bibi wanting to push his numbers, but unsure if that points a huge factor here.

Seems to me like:
1/ No side wants a full scale regional war
2/ The stated goal of "eliminate Hamas entirely" is not achievable without orders of magnitude more bloodshed
3/ Regional war seems guaranteed if this pace of bloodshed continues (let alone intensifies)
4/ Netanyahu doesn't have a ton of political capital internally
So what's the plan here?
In other words... Advocating for the outcome of "eliminate Hamas entirely" feels the same as advocating for a full blown regional war.
Are you sure that will increase safety/security?
Every one in their right mind should be calling for a ceasefire.
Tell me if you see it differently.
