Like the Highlander TV series? The closest we got was the Batman newspaper strip released in the wake of the 89 movie. The strip brought elements of the Burton movie into a weekly Sunday strip with art by Marshall Rogers and Carmen Infantino. To my eyes, it looks DKR influenced as well. @DT2ComicsChat I liked Force Awakens better than most. It wasn’t the Zahn trilogy we all wanted but the elements were there to deliver a good story. It’s crazy that Disney launched a new trilogy with no plan and just hell bent on crapping on all the original characters.

The problem with Superman 2025 is James introduced Hawkgirl, Mr Terrific, and Green Lantern without their own solo movies. Really damaged the brand.

It made $10M off of a $3M budget. Which was not bad but below John Hughes teen comedies. Critics like Siskel and Ebert hated it as did John Cusack (according to the director). But you can’t deny the influence it had on absurdist humor that followed in the 90’s including Pete and Pete and South Park.
