@jhabeeb1 @EddieHearn The deal with Netflix was already signed, before they even started promotion of the fight. It's crazy how forced the fight looked because of it. It's Netflix's choice but ultimately the fighters could just decline to fight.

@eddiehearn has continued to contradict himself throughout this whole process. He did an interview with FightHype back in April that I’m going to post here where he explicitly says that the location of the fight will be down to Turki Alalshikh. Then he comes out later and says Joshua has a contract that it has to be in the UK. Keep in mind that Joshua has never come out and said this publicly himself, and when Tyson Fury has been asked he said he doesn’t care where the fight is. He says he wants it where it can generate the most money, which I assume Joshua would want the same thing. Then he says the fight has to be in the UK, but then he also contradicts himself once again and says it’s up to the broadcaster Netflix because they want to get the most views on their platform, so it’s their choice. I don’t understand how someone who has no contractual ties to the fight can claim all of these requirements and stipulations. The agreement was between the fighters and Sela. Both Frank and Eddie have said that they cannot be promotionally involved in this fight because it’s on Netflix. It appears that Netflix wants this fight in the US and it looks like it’s going to land in New York at Madison Square Garden. So all this bluster from Eddie Hearn was all for nothing and just hot air. I don’t see how anyone could look at it any other way.

West Midlands Police arrested and charged Cody Harper for assaulting an officer after he was jumped and beaten by a group on Broad Street.
They defended the officer’s actions as “reasonable and proportionate” while the actual attackers walked away.
Only after the video went viral and huge public pressure forced a CPS review did they finally drop the charges — on the eve of his court date.
This is exactly why people talk about two-tier policing and police overreach. They went after the victim first and only backed down when they couldn’t ignore the evidence anymore.
Justice shouldn’t require a social media storm.

Sony said they will no longer be producing physical DISCS. They never said anything about physical cartridges. They will announce a hybrid handheld that will still play physical carts. They obviously can’t announce their handheld plans at the moment so they are just taking heat for no more discs.
