There's a disturbing trend of the GOP finding a worse-case scenario, riling up their members about it, and then using that anger to justify banning anything they don't like.

Uh… yeah, Democrats introduced 7 bills to “fund TSA,” and each one was laced with defund ICE riders and border sabotage requirements. Republicans passed clean full DHS funding twice. Dems blocked it. Twice. Now they cry “Republicans blocked TSA!” This is textbook gaslighting while Americans miss their flights and have their livelihoods negatively affected so that these morons can post more lies and nonsense…
Democrats@TheDemocrats

Democrats introduced bills to end the TSA shutdown on: March 5 March 11 March 12 March 18 March 19 (x2) March 21 March 23 Republicans blocked TSA funding every single time.

@fuckyouiquit Every dollar below $184.5k also earns a benefit, no benefit above. It’s not good value for money but those dollars buy something that the wealthy aren’t getting. Social security needs reform (including means testing benefits) not an endless source of funds to waste

Every dollar earned below $184,500 a year has a Social Security tax of 12.4%. Everything after that cap is exempt. If we lift this cap on the wealthiest earners, Social Security would be fully funded till 2070. The cap should not exist.
ABC News@ABC

The trust funds for Social Security and Medicaid will run out of money in as little as 8 years, a shorter time frame than previously estimated, according to a report issued Wednesday by the programs' trustees. abcnews.link/r5kTy1r

Social Security is NOT a tax. Start with that fact. Social Security is a 1-to-1 relationship between the money you put in, and the money you can draw out. Now... if you want to suggest that people who make more than $X should pay in more FOR OTHER PEOPLE, then that becomes a tax and that's a different law.

@groversmith1 @kpomerleau It's NOT accurate. It's a blatant LIE. Higher income earners % is being figured by their entire income, not just the income that is taxed by SS. It's the same way they LIE to you about "rich people pay a lower tax rate than lower income". They are LYING to you!!

Blame Social Security and Medicare for America’s long term debt problem. Without them, we’d be running a surplus!

@Lea31574Mc @justicenow_alan @GBNT1952 ICE IS at 100%, hell it's operating at 300% of older years budgets. ICE has enough allocated to last several more years from the 2025 bill. If you pass a DHS bill with NO ICE funding in it, ICE will be unaffected for at least three years, longer than the other DHS funds last.

@ElongatedWinner @justicenow_alan @GBNT1952 That’s not what I said. The Dems’ holdup is based on scaling back ICE. If they get their way, DHS would be funded but ICE would be kneecapped, either through funding or legislation. ICE operating at full capacity is non-negotiable

@justicenow_alan @GBNT1952 Then by definition that’s not a clean funding bill for the DHS, by your own words Dems intentionally leave parts of DHS unfunded. There are no negotiations on enforcement reforms. ICE will continue their work and there is not a single thing the Dems (or you) can do about it.

We asked voters to rank 17 proposals to lower energy costs. "Banning new data centers" came in at 15th.

BREAKING: @AOC and @SenSanders are introducing a ban on AI data centers and other hyperscale data centers. The ban would remain until Congress passes new AI legislation. That legislation must ensure AI is safe, benefits workers, and doesn't raise electricity prices.

And yet another cluster warhead fired at civilians in Israel. Out of curiosity, has anybody heard a word about “international laws” and “war crimes” from the UN? Thought not.

@MorEdge_Insight The Convention on Cluster Munitions (CCM) completely prohibits the use, development, production, acquisition, stockpiling and transfer of cluster munitions. In addition, the assistance or encouragement of anyone to engage in prohibited activities is prohibited.

Isn’t it funny that the left always assumes that when they increase tax rates, tax revenues will go up? What did they study, anthropology or gender? Given where most European countries stand, cutting tax rates would boost growth and increase tax revenues. Why don’t they do it?
