Each and every time we try to make Kilifi Green. It’s not that trees cannot grow in Kilifi, but the bad habits of cutting down trees 🌲 without replacement is killing our county. With serious investment in tree planting we shall be able to solve 90% of our problems.

Today, we’re returning to the courts to discuss the case regarding Chief Neem Corner in Watamu, where the government has cleared a public park to build affordable housing. We are advocating for a change in the location! #SaveChiefNeemsCorner

When did public land start being treated as empty land? Chief Neem Corner isn’t idle it’s working every day to cool, clean, and protect this town. Do we value that work? #PublicLand #SaveChiefNeemCorner

#HousingForWho? Mr. Owen Baya, instead of defending public interest, you sided with power against your own people.

In a county grappling with historical & current land injustices, elderly killings, failing health facilities, school drop outs, leaders chose to pursue “affordable housing” by grabbing a public space. History will not be kind to the Kilifi County Government & on national leaders who enabled it. @ErogNetwork @ElphicT

Across the world, cities that protected parks are now healthier, cooler & more valuable. Cities that destroyed them are spending millions trying to rebuild green spaces. Trees are an investment, not an obstacle. #NatureBasedSolutions #savechiefneemscorner

You can’t “replace” mature trees. Neem trees take MORE THAN 15 years to provide real shade and cooling decades to fully mature. Cutting them means losing 30+ years of climate protection instantly. #TreesBeforeConcrete #protectchiefneemscorner
