Perfect description of the problem with property taxes.
1.) We don’t feel the money is being used well.
2.) Costs keep rising
3.) The elderly purchased property based on the tax burden of a previous generation & may not be able to pay the higher tax rate.

People keep acting like rising property taxes are automatically justified because “schools and services need funding,” but a lot of people look around and do not feel like the government is managing the money it already gets very well. Meanwhile an older couple can stay in the exact same house for 30 years, change nothing about their lifestyle, and still get hit with a higher tax bill because the area around them got expensive. That is not the same thing as being able to afford more.

@Strangeland_Elf I like my walls to be neutral bc I like random weird decor and, if u have neutral walls, you can just add your weird/neat stuff. Its eclectic. I think when some people pick neutrals, they are afraid to add color bc they arent sure if it "goes together".

My husband thinks the drinking age should be 18…but ONLY for military.
If you sign up to defend our country, then you should be able to drink a beer.
