@mexicont Im pro life and I do t get this idea some people have. we should be wanting MORE safe birth control and more options thay actually work to prevent pregnancies if we dont want abortions. Women deserve better!

calling plan b/iuds abortifacients would be so funny if it wasn’t so dangerous. like is my body a natural abortifacient by that logic if i do NFP bc it STOPPED a pregnancy from ever starting? high stress delaying my ovulation? IT SHOULD BE ILLEGAL TO BE STRESSED!!!! 😤🤓
Clare Anne Ath@clareanneath

No one’s “coming for your birth control.” But yes, all forms of abortifacients including things like the morning after pill and copper IUD should not be on the market. Abortion is not a right.

@pxielovee So while I do think Republicans are off on this, not wanting to trade one broken system for another broken system where the government has control instead (which is harder to take away) isn't the same as not wanting g to change the system

This is the second Republican account I’ve seen complaining about insurance and hospital bills and its so confusing… you guys literally VOTED for this. That’s what your party does!!!Defend health insurance CEO’s and yell socialism whenever someone tries to change the system!!!
Libs of TikTok@libsoftiktok

Last week I randomly got a $9,000 bill for a hospital visit from last year. I called them up and they said my insurance decided not to cover it. Why? Because. .@Aetna can just decide they’re not interested in covering something and then you’re left with an inflated bill to pay out of pocket after the fact. This is in addition to a $2,000 bill that I already paid. They just don’t want to cover it despite me paying a monthly premium. Meanwhile illegals get free healthcare. Honestly fuck you @Aetna. I’m gonna do everything I can to destroy you.

Day 076, orbit 1179 — Weighing yourself in weightlessness isn’t really about weight… it’s about mass. On Earth, a scale works because gravity pulls us down, but in microgravity everything floats, so that method simply doesn’t work. Instead, we use a special device that moves our body up and down, allowing us to determine our mass. Mass stays exactly the same, whether you’re on Earth or floating in orbit. 🎥 @esa / @NASA #εpsilon • @esaspaceflight@NASA_Johnson@Space_Station

Can recent moms explain to me why you can’t have a basket like contraption in the bed so you can still co-sleep without accidentally smushing your child? Is this a thing? Like there has to be a happy medium here

Shingles is all over the news again. You know, when I was a kid, our preschool closed for a week so all the kids could get together in a 'party' where we all deliberately caught ChickenPox. And that was it. One week of scratching and nothing for the rest of our lives. Then, they brought in the ChickenPox vaccine. STOPPED kids getting the virus naturally. You were told you were an irresponsible parent if you let your kid get ChickenPox. And all of a sudden, young adults have Shingles. You can't tell me something went wrong.

This will significantly raise the price of rotisserie chickens and may even limit their availability. Hot rotisserie chickens are only good under the heat lamps for about four hours. In current state, as unsold chickens approach their 4th hour, most retailers will pull the chicken from the hot rack and move it to the freezer to rapidly drop the temperature. Once dropped, they then repackage it as a chilled chicken product for resale (has been SNAP eligible) at a reduced price. By having this outlet for overproduction, retailers have been able to lower their throw-aways and protect their margin. Moving forward, retailers will have to raise their prices to offset the decreased demand for chilled chicken or lower their risk of overproduction. Either way, we will soon see increases in prices for rotisserie chickens.
U.S. Senator John Fetterman@SenFettermanPA

SNAP to include HOT ROTISSERIE CHICKEN. 384-35! Doesn’t only include my crew’s favorite + affordable $4.99 Costco rotisserie 😜 — but ANY hot rotisserie. Feeding families: a (rotisserie) chicken in every pot. 🇺🇸

So…. The answer has been; I set her birthdate to 2020, meaning according to the iPad she is 5. It will be 8 years, when she is already in adulthood, before she has control of this iPad without my permission. Downtime is set to 12am to 11:59 pm, meaning I must manually toggle downtime off if she is to use it at any point during the day except for one minute before midnight. I left the calendar, camera, and books available when downtime is set, meaning she can use these three items at all times. Even these only have a 1 hour daily time limit. I was able to remove almost every app I didn’t want. For the items which I can’t remove, like Apple News, I just made them available for 0 seconds each day. This took a while, but only because I was unfamiliar with the process and had to keep going online to seek out answers. To someone who is familiar with an iPad it would have taken about 5 minutes.
Sarah St. Onge ن ♀🦬@shebringsjoy

Just a reminder. It is never ok to give someone else’s child an iPad, without asking parents first. Because then they have to be the bad guy and tell said child, “this goes in my room and no - you can’t have it.” Also: does anyone know if an iPad can be made to just download books, with no internet access at all? Asking for a friend’s child…..

Anecdotally, my first pregnancy I followed every rule. My first kid is autistic (like his father.) My second kid was a Geriatric pregnancy, on SSRI's, drank coffee like a maniac, the occasional half beer, ate the sushi, ate the cured meats, ate the mercury-laced tuna, took the Tylenol...and that kid is the absolutely stone cold neurotypical one. I think everyone should maybe just stop being so overly dramatic and the kids will be better off for us not being quite so fucking neurotic
Tanning Salon Don@TheSalonDon

OBGYN just told my wife to go on SSRIs during pregnancy I asked if there’s studies she can show to make us comfortable She said she doesn’t sit around reading medical literature but 70% of her patients are on them while pregnant We have a health crisis in America

@DiaryofaSickGrl Direct contact is required for anaphylaxis of aerosolized perfume (spraying directly into the breathing passages or onto an open wound, frex). I acknowledge that wearing strong/too much perfume can cause deep discomfort for others, but fear mongering is not the answer.

@JohnSchoffstall @VinoNStrosGal @HelenBorel1 Its not their experience though. They are claiming the experience of others (pain patients) as their own as they see it. Many doctors say that as their patients literally day the oppisate

@VinoNStrosGal @HelenBorel1 I have read the replies and acknowledge your individual experiences. However, pain specialist physicians say that opioids are not useful against chronic pain, and their experience is just as valid as yours.

Saw this on 𝕏, original source TikTok surfaced by @HelenBorel1 A dermatologist who stepped into a coroner role in California is saying something that should at least make people pause. In his experience, the cases he’s seeing on his table aren’t coming from prescribed medication. They’re showing up with fentanyl, carfentanil, methamphetamine, alcohol, which points to what people are finding outside the regulated system. He also points out that it’s a lot easier for the system to go after doctors than to go after the actual drug dealers behind what’s ending up in these toxicology reports. And it raises a question people don’t want to sit with: How many of these cases involve pain patients who lost access to legitimate care, and went looking for relief from the unregulated street supply. Because once you leave a regulated system, you’re not just risking misuse, you’re risking contamination. All of that said, here’s my take. We need to start getting uncomfortably comfortable with the language. A lot of what’s happening out there doesn’t read like a traditional overdose. If someone believes they’re taking oxycodone and it’s actually fentanyl or carfentanil, that’s not the same risk profile, that’s not the same intent. That’s exposure to something they didn’t knowingly choose. A lot of this looks a lot closer to poisoning. And that distinction matters.

Why do physicians hate chiropractors so much? It’s super weird. Don’t they both have the same goal of healing people? Physicians claim chiropractors are dangerous, but Chiropractors have fewer lawsuits than physicians and aren’t the third leading cause of death in the US.
