Lead-footed NYPD cop racked up more than 500 speeding tickets in NYC since 2022: report trib.al/HzhNTnC

Staten Island traffic cameras have caught a white RAM 1500 pickup truck blasting through school zones or running red lights more than 547 times since 2022. The truck belongs to James Giovansanti, who lives and works there as an @NYPDnews police officer, reports @jktrotter.

A Citi Bike ride shouldn’t cost a penny more than a subway or bus ride. We’ve got a bill to cap e-bike fees at $3 and end Citi Bike-flation.

It makes no sense that Speaker Heastie may be trying to kill a bill that would finally slow down New York's repeat reckless drivers. But according to yesterday’s reporting in @HellGateNY, that’s exactly what’s happening. hellgatenyc.com/stop-super-spe…

Today was a better day on Bedford Avenue: Only eight vehicles (and one DSNY dumpster) were illegally double-parked in the bike lane this morning. Even so — and the video doesn't reflect this well — that's eight times I had to swerve into fast-moving oncoming traffic.

NEW: Last year, the top 10 super speeders covered such an expansive swath of New York City with their reckless driving that more than 2.5 million New Yorkers live within a 5-minute walk of an intersection that just these 10 drivers were caught blasting through.

Somebody with an NYPD placard illegally parked a personal car right by the Brooklyn Bridge. The bus hit the car trying to get around it, now traffic is backed up for blocks and blocks and several express buses full of people can’t get to the FDR.

This week, @NYCMayor named Lisa Gelobter our city's next Chief Technology Officer! Lisa will also lead our agency, the @NYCOfficeofTech, which oversees New York City's technology infrastructure, cyber security efforts, and much more. Learn more here: on.nyc.gov/4rCISjW

.@GovKathyHochul in Queens says she has no plans to raise the congestion pricing base fare for passenger cars from $9 to $15 because it would be a lot for families and small biz. (And she’s up for reelection).

Really hoping @NYCSpeakerAdams brings daylighting to the floor for a vote! This is an incredible chance to end her tenure with a move to save countless New Yorkers’ lives—let’s not miss it.

"As mothers, our worst nightmare is a car killing a child just for trying to cross the street," write @CMJulieWon and @CMBrooksPowers. "Kids are the city’s most vulnerable residents, and the status quo endangers them... They deserve universal daylighting." nyc.streetsblog.org/2025/12/10/nyc…
