Mexico's Minister of Security and Citizen Protection @OHarfuch on his meeting with FBI Director @FBIDirectorKash in Washington, D.C. : "I met with FBI Director Kash Patel in Washington, representing the Security Cabinet. We reaffirmed that bilateral cooperation, based on reciprocity, respect for our sovereignty, and shared responsibility, enables us to make progress with concrete results. As a result of this exchange of information, Mexican authorities have arrested several suspects in our country who were on the FBI’s most-wanted list, as well as other perpetrators of violence affecting Mexico. We will continue working to reduce violence in Mexico, in accordance with the instructions issued by our President @Claudiashein."

“As a result of investigative work carried out by the institutions that make up the Mexican Security Cabinet (@GabSeguridadMX), and following the continuous exchange of information with the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration (@DEAHQ), two operational actions were conducted in the municipality of Villa de Álvarez, Colima. Authorities seized more than 270 kilograms of fentanyl, both in powder and pill form, equivalent to approximately 14 million doses that will not reach the streets. During the operations, Yair “N” was arrested. He has been identified as the leader of a criminal cell dedicated to the sale and trafficking of fentanyl and methamphetamine. Six additional individuals were also detained, and two properties used for the storage of narcotics were located.”

Derivado de trabajos de investigación realizados por las instituciones que integran el Gabinete de Seguridad @GabSeguridadMX , y como resultado del intercambio constante de información con @DEAHQ, se llevaron a cabo dos acciones operativas en el municipio de Villa de Álvarez, Colima. Como resultado, se aseguraron más de 270 kilogramos de fentanilo, tanto en polvo como en pastillas, lo que equivale aproximadamente a 14 millones de dosis que no llegarán a las calles. Durante los operativos fue detenido Yair “N”, identificado como líder de una célula delictiva dedicada a la venta y tráfico de fentanilo y metanfetamina. En estas acciones también fueron detenidas seis personas más y se localizaron dos inmuebles utilizados para el almacenamiento de narcóticos.

Puerto Vallarta International Airport has reopened to domestic traffic. If traveling through Jalisco, some local security measures remain in place, while authorities are restoring airport operations to full capacity. We are working with international partners to ensure safety and stability at all transit hubs and tourist destinations.
