"Make money, women will come" is one of the most deceptive orientations ever given to Nigerian men. Once you have a job that pays you steadily and you have your own apartment, please get married. You don't have to be a millionaire before marriage.

The one with the cutlass is accusing his friend (in blue) of sleeping with his wife. The one in blue says his friend's wife is his ex wife. Two grown men fighting because of a woman who isn't worth it. End.

Some would be in prisons, some would have died, some have kids and wives who do not care, some of the properties are not even known by the descendants.

My mum knew a particular couple whose marriage ended abruptly. Their story solidified one of my beliefs today. They met and married, though I'm not sure how they met. However, I do know they got married in the 70s. From the onset, it was obvious that there were differences in their visions and life’s pursuit; they had both completed NCE and the husband had gotten a job as a driver in one of the federal universities in the country. Unlike now, the salary was enough to sustain a small family and this husband was satisfied with being a driver. Wife on the other hand was a school teacher, but she had dreams of becoming a lecturer in the university and also becoming a professor some day. They started having babies and the wife tried to get into the university, the husband didn’t want it, they kept having issues about the wife’s dreams because the husband was comfortable where he was and he also felt the wife should simply focus on raising their kids. Strong willed, she graduated from the university and took form again to go for masters degree. The husband could not imagine his wife becoming a masters degree holder while he was a driver, so they kept having issues. But the strong will of the woman got her a job as a lecturer and also a PhD holder. By the time she got her doctorate degree, marriage had ended because they had become worlds apart and the man couldn’t take it. I still remember very well, the day the woman was inaugurated as a professor in the university; she was to give an inaugural lecture and people had gone to beg the husband to at least attend the inaugural lecture. Normally at university inaugural lectures, people who were pivotal to the success of the candidate would be invited to the high table. People like the Head of department, supervisors etc. The high table is never meant for family members or friends and everyone knows this. As the husband or the wife of the person being inaugurated, you’ll sit with the audience. This man came in wearing a very big agbada and all of a sudden in the full glare of everybody, while the inaugural lecture was going on, he walked out of the hall. His annoyance: they didn’t invite him to the high table.🤣. You see I grew up in a very spiritual setting where we believe that we should seek the will of God before marrying . Anytime our fathers in the lord back they tried to match make a woman who has a high level of education with a man who isn’t educated, they usually said it was the will of God, even if the woman is a president, she can marry a Vulcanizer . You see this story and some other incidences i saw while growing up is the reason I never agreed that God spoke to them. Infact, I’m usually scared when two people with different level of exposure and sophistication are trying to get into marriage together because with what I have seen in my little life, the marriage might not work. Marrying into a good family is important for a woman. But what's even more important is marrying a man who can stand up to any negativity from family members. So even if they don't like her, they know they can't make her life hard because he'll not tolerate anyone mistreating her.

There are certain battles you should never stress. Once your would-be mother inlaw doesn't like you, just quit the ship. Once any of his family members don't like you, just exit the ship This isn't the time to fight for love. That is a sign to RUNAWAY!!! Marrying into a family that doesn't want you is like sending yourself to life imprisonment with torture and hard labour....And if anything happens to their son, you are done for!

@jon_d_doe This has been happening from time immemorial. The ownersm of the house d!es and their children sell it to strangers who will lease it to another stranger, or the building gets abandoned till forever.

In the next 20-30 years, many of the big houses you see in different parts of Nigeria will not be occupied by direct descendants of the owners, but by strangers and rodents. End.

Donatus Mathew, the okada rider from Kaduna that won HOR seat using Peter Obi’s LP wave and later decamped to APC, also lost his primaries yesterday. He also can't defect to another party as it’s in the electoral law now.

@ruffydfire The biggest upset of this new electoral law is how they made a law that will not let politicians move to another party after the primary election. The trap they set for one man is catching them already😂😂😂
