STATEHOUSE PRESS RELEASE Why President Tinubu addressed the victims of the Plateau attacks at the airport President Tinubu's itinerary for Thursday included two main engagements: receiving the Chadian President, Mahamat Idriss Déby Itno, and proceeding to Iperu, Ogun State. After Governor Caleb Mutfwang's briefing, President Tinubu suspended the trip to Ogun. Overnight, the Presidential Villa made arrangements for the visit to Jos, with presidential assets quickly deployed. However, the President could not postpone the scheduled visit by the Chadian leader. The President of Chad was at the Presidential Villa for a very important bilateral meeting focused on strengthening security collaboration between the two countries. The meeting ran longer than expected, affecting President Tinubu’s scheduled departure for Jos. Upon arrival in Jos, the visit encountered some logistical challenges. While the road distance from the airport to Jos township is approximately 40 minutes, the runway does not support night flights due to the absence of navigational aids. The constraints made it unfeasible to drive into town, meet victims for on-the-spot assessment and return to the airport before dusk. Consequently, state and federal officials decided to bring representatives of the affected community to a hall adjoining the airport so the President could meet with them promptly while adhering to flight restrictions. Among the people in the hall were the Minister of Defence, the Chief of Army Staff and the Inspector General of Police, who had visited Rukuba, the epicentre of the conflict. President Tinubu deployed the high-level team to Rukuba, including the Senior Special Assistant on Community Engagement, to undertake critical groundwork on security and community engagement, with a view to stabilising the area before his arrival. Beyond expressing his condolences to the victims, President Tinubu’s objective was to engage with critical stakeholders in Plateau State on ending the recurring, decades-old conflict that has resulted in needless loss of lives and property. President Tinubu’s visit to Jos was not merely symbolic. It was a strategic, high-level engagement aimed at bringing all stakeholders together to address the root causes of conflict and insecurity in the state. He interacted with the victims, consoled them, and listened to them. He also listened to local leaders and assured them that the federal government would deliver justice and end the cycle of violence. He promised the deployment of 5000 AI-enabled cameras to monitor the city and enhance the identification and arrest of troublemakers. Furthermore, the President invited the community leaders to Abuja for further talks on finding a lasting solution to the recurring violence in the state. The meeting, televised live, was solemn and reassuring, boosting residents' confidence. President Tinubu achieved the purpose of his visit, despite the naysayers' attempts to ridicule it. He dropped an unmistakable message: sustainable peace must be built with the people, not imposed on them. Bayo Onanuga Special Adviser to the President (Information and Strategy) April 3, 2026

“These killings have been here for a long time. I went through it, Dariye went through it, Lalong went through it. Mr. President, I can authoritatively tell you that some people want to use these killings to sabotage next elections but we won't allow them”. - Jonah Jang, former Plateau State governor during an interactive session with President Tinubu in Jos

When I tweeted that President Tinubu was meeting with Stakeholders in Jos, I honestly didn’t know it was at the airport until the end when he walked out straight into the plane.

Tinubu’s outing today was good. MC said because of the short time, people won’t be able to address him. He said nah, the National leader of APC must speak, present and former governors must speak, former deputy speaker must speak and then the head of the traditional leaders must speak and he wants to hear from everyone. He then addressed everyone including families of the victims especially the woman in the trending video. Asked all the traditional leaders to meet him immediately he arrives in Abuja. Bosun Tijani addressed everyone afterwards and said 5000 cameras to be installed at flashpoints as Huawei and other companies were already on ground to start installation. You can continue to cry that he addressed them at the airport.

The ADC NWC Debacle; separating facts from fictions. I was in court on 12/3/26 when the CA Abuja made the order of status quo that INEC is purportedly obeying regarding ADC leadership. I’ll explain how we got here briefly. The former NWC of ADC resigned. One Bala Gombe claimed he did not resign and unilaterally declared himself acting Chairman. Needless to say he’s an APC stooge. So he filed an action at the FHC Abuja. The matter on its merits is still pending. I am counsel representing one of the members of the interim NWC seeking to be joined in the case, so I’m yet to be formerly joined. At the trial court, we have many applications that are still pending, including POs. The trial Judge, Nwite J, gave an interlocutory order of showing cause why the interim order suspending recognition of Sen. David Mark should not be made. One of the parties appealed that order, to the CA Abuja. When appeal was entered, Nwite’s hands were tied and he directed parties to take their fight to the CA. At the CA, the appeal was dismissed. The Court of Appeal, SUO MOTU, after the judgment, and without any application from ANY of the parties, ordered status quo. So what is the status quo? Simple and basic knowledge of status quo is that David Mark-led NWC IS the interim leadership. That was the position in the trial court and at the CA. There’s also now an appeal at the Supreme Court against the judgment of the CA with a motion for stay. For INEC to claim it’s now obeying an order of court that’s pending appeal at the APEX COURT is clearly mischief. But well, you know the rest. END. A. Badmos.

Dear Yorubas, I am really curious to know, is it part of your culture to come back to your benefactor the next day to say “thanks for yesterday”? I’ve noticed that EVERY Yoruba person that I’ve assisted on this app would send a message the next day to say “thank you for yesterday”. I’ve not noticed this with any other tribe and I don’t do it either. Please I need to know.

Let me explain to you, without passing any insult, why Peter Obi will not get the ticket. The permutations in the ADC coagulation group is that if the ticket goes south, it means a potential 12 years of Southern presidency. The promise of serving one term of 4 yrs will not fly from someone whose region hasn't held that position since the return of democracy. It won't be Obi's call to make....there are many people from the East that will "ganusi". They will insist on completing their own 8years. Additionally, going by his antecedent, no politician in Nigeria trusts him to keep his words. Do you now see why neither Obi nor Amaechi will get the ticket? If Atiku will ever step down, the ticket goes to Kwankwaso. I know you will think your shenanigans online will make the coalition succumb to doing your biddings. Politics is not okpa or abacha...it isn't served in the market place.

ADC just so you know, majority of us you see rushing down to ADC are not members of any party, we don’t do party politics, we just want to see a working Nigeria, we belong PETER OBI, so in others words, wee OBIDIENTS, please do the right thing ooo.

SURELY THEY SHALL GATHER.... It is clear that the strategy of the opposition is to spread fake news in the media in order to create tension and panic in the ranks of the Government and the ruling party, knock our heads together, create dissection in our ranks and plant doubts in our minds about our ability to win. Every day they come up with something new like the fake news about the Governor of Nassarawa state working for Atiku. Tomorrow it will be someone else. The space is getting heated up now and judging by their level of desperation and their inclination for disinformation those of us that are in the APC and that are supporting President Tinubu must close ranks and brace ourselves for the mother of all struggles in 2027. The Holy Bible says "surely they shall gather but it shall not be of me. Whosoever gathers against thee shall be scattered for thy sake". On its own part the Holy Koran says "surely they are planning but Allah is the greatest planner of all". No matter how many local collaborators and traitors with the help of their foreign friends that are trying to destablise our Government and country and set us on fire one thing remains clear, light cannot be overcome by darkness and evil cannot prevail over good. I have no doubt that despite the fact that they are gathering together more and more each day we shall surely overcome. What we need to do is to get our act together, prepare our battle formations and rise up to the occassion by bringing some of our youngest, brightest and most courageous youths into the fray and the forefront of the fight. By Gods grace the President shall be re-elected in 2027 and Nigeria shall continue to go from strength to strength. God wills it! (FFK)

Well, he might not know the meaning of useless, if not, he won't say a government that sorted ASUU issues that lingered for over two decades useless, if he knows the meaning of that word, he won't call a government that initiated student loan a useless government, if he knows the meaning, he would have known that the government that has turned all regions to construction site as a result of road revolution is not useless. Yes, there are killings but the government is not quiet about it, has killing just started in Jos? Has terrorism just started? Making it look like all these started after Tinubu came to power is irresponsible. @mrmacaroni, you can write all the epistle you want, it won't change the fact that Tinubu will be reelected in 2027
