@_EMazing There are people who think I'm crazy for having a 3yr gap - like it's too small. Like I hadn't slept in 3yrs let alone trying to make another thing that's going to prolong the literal torture before I figure out how to make the first one sleep? (The 2nd one still does not sleep.)

@clhubes I don't know many 3 kid families - it seems like everyone either has 2 or 4! The one I can think of is GGB. One of my high school friends has BBBBB. 😱 I have GB myself and the idea of more B gives me extreme anxiety.

@kookcove Alternate view: nap times on weekends were my *only* time to myself. As an introvert, I valued that time more than any plans. It's not about the kids' nap, it was about me sitting in silence. 😂 Didn't expect plans changed for me though, just didn't make plans.

As a parent of young children, I find it quite surprising (& frustrating) how inflexible some parents of young children can be. Cant do something because child A nap time or a later time cos of child B nap time. Or each kid needs their own bedroom, cant be put on fold out bed. 1/

@clhubes I find "no gifts" is more common on 1-2yo birthday invites than older invites here. Sort of "they have no idea so might as well." I've seen "fiver" parties online - everyone gives $5 and birthday child can buy something big - but haven't done it/been invited to one.

If Labor gets its way & demolishes East Brisbane State School for the $2.7bn Gabba demolition there will be no public school in the entire existing school catchment. The green marker is where they propose to "move" the school. It means 2 entire suburbs won't have a school.

@clhubes 😂😂😂 Mine likes to eat 2 bananas for dinner every night for a week. So the next week I buy enough bananas to feed a whole monkey house. Then he decides he doesn't like bananas anymore.

@autumn_daze00 Right? London 2011 we actually got tickets the same day. 😂 We didn't realise she was going to be there and looked for tickets right away. Not terrible seats either. My friend who went with me wasn't able to get tickets in the States for Eras either. How times have changed!

@EmilyBruin1 I hope you’ll be able to see her again! I’ve been watching videos of her performances and her stage presence is phenomenal!!! I can’t believe how hard it is to get tickets 😭😭

I’m sad about not seeing Taylor Swift live since I’m just a casual listener and can’t justify the ticket prices but my partner reminded me that I can use the money for my next trip 🥹 (but I still want to see her live 🥹)

@_EMazing Agree. I mean look, I'd be happy for a stranger to supervise my 4yo for a flight if no one wants to swap. But they're quickly going to realise swapping is the better option. 😂 airlines should be sorting this out prior to boarding though.

Dan Andrews has said a cost blow out of $6bn was "well and truly too much for a 12-day sporting event” when cancelling the Commonwealth Games. So how does Qld and Fed Labor justify spending over $7bn on the Brisbane Olympics & destroying a local school and park for a 14 day event

@_EMazing Vacation is absolutely not the same with a baby. If they want you to be flexible they can wait about 12 years. 🤦‍♀️

@adventure_ali_ Saw her in London in 2011 for the Speak Now tour and she's amazing. 😍 So many of my friends in the States have been to the Eras tour and loved it. I'm going to see if we can swing tickets.

@ksyd2015 We can't even justify domestic right now for a family of 4 -- prices are just insane!

@AnnastaciaMP Do tell. We've been operating on a skeleton crew and had to cap rooms due to low staffing. Not really sure where extra kids are going to go when we don't have the staff to care for our current capacity.

We have a plan to attract more early childhood educators, too – including more incentives to work in regional and remote kindergartens.

Some big news. We’re making kindy free – for everyone. It will save families around $4,600 a year, easing national cost-of-living pressures. And it'll give every little Queenslander the best start in life.

@gracextwo Will Kindy get more funding for inclusion support, since the need will increase with demand? Will you increase wages so that more teachers WANT to work in Kindy, to have enough staff to meet demand? Free Kindy sounds great, but I worry those details haven't been thought through.

@AlboMP Everyone except the childcare educators. Have you thought about how you're going to staff centres to deal with having more kids in care? We're already operating on a skeleton crew. More kids likely means needing more inclusion support - will we get it?

It’ll mean parents like Danielle can go back to work, without worrying about losing money. And just like she said - it’s that little bit extra in everybody’s pockets.

“I had to take a position that was less days, otherwise you’d be working just to pay child care fees.” As a mum of 5 year old twins, Danielle knows firsthand how expensive and inflexible child care can be. And she really gets what a difference cheaper child care will make.

@_EMazing One family I know put their toddler to bed, thought maybe they should go to hospital, had the baby and were back home by 2am. I'm pretty sure the toddler thinks babies just magically appear in cots at random.

@_EMazing I would have been gone in 4 if my babies weren't gigantic and needed 24-hour blood sugar testing. 😂 But yes, shorter is common. We have midwives come to our house / call to support for 6 weeks after birth. I hated being in hospital, so happy to go home.
