If you’re wondering how intense the bombing in Beirut was yesterday, then you need to watch this video. It documents the bombardment around the Indonesian Hospital in northern Gaza, near my family’s home in Nov 2023. This is what we call a “fire belt,” in Arabic, meaning relentless, consecutive strikes that feel like hell itself. I lived through this many times in Gaza before we left for Egypt. Our mountains, rivers & forests are the best things about America. It took an heroic struggle to keep this pristine wilderness from being deforested and turned into cheap hotels. But we’re governed by people who value profit over life itself. Once they’re gone, they’re gone.

Israeli settlers are killing and terrorizing Palestinian civilians daily with the full support of the Israeli military. The international community should intervene and compel Israel to allow international forces to protect Palestinians from this terrorism.
