@Bbbinks512 @RunwayDan @Mira_Segler @amalaekpunobi Because they struggle mentally, and people have put into their minds that to resolve their struggles just change your gender. When they try to change their gender they realise that wasn't the issue and kill themselves. It's a mental issue the transgender groups are making worse

@RunwayDan @Mira_Segler @amalaekpunobi Then why are their suicide rates so much higher? If it's just a sexual fantasy. Why are their clear chemical differences in their brain showing they align mentally with their preferred gender even before hormone treatments?

Jk Rowling is often spoken about like she is some lone wolf that’s full of hatred. She’s not. She is continuously fighting for women’s rights with her platform and funding the legal battles of women with the money she’s earned from her creations. She’s a woman with means who’s helping millions of women have a voice in a time where their rights are being infringed upon. Many of us support her. She is not alone.

@AntSpeaks It's so funny people feel the need to even say 'even though it's controversial because of her views'. People don't know the majority of views held by people who make movies/tv etc, if they boycotted everyone they disagree with you literally couldn't watch/read/consume anything

It’s another one of those instances in which the words JK Rowling used to describe Emma Watson not that long ago are very much applicable here. Andrew Garfield is simply “ignorant of how ignorant he is.” And what is this “inhumane legislation” he’s talking about? Not wanting biological men to compete in sports like boxing against biological women is somehow a bad thing? It's inhumane? Andrew’s brain has been warped by Hollywood groupthink.
Oli London@OliLondonTV

Andrew Garfield takes jab at J.K. Rowling over her trans views; says he watches Harry Potter even though it’s “controversial.” “I know it’s controversial and we shouldn’t be putting money in the pocket of inhumane legislation right now through she that shall remain nameless…There are so many beautiful artists that worked on those films. I have a newfound appreciation for all of the artists.” Source: Variety

Pathetic how little the national team sings the anthem. If you're representing your country have some pride in it, otherwise don't bother

@henrywinter I've noticed recently that we've had someone down and then told to go to the sidelines for 30 seconds despite not actually having treatment, I thought that was only the case if medical staff have to come onto the pitch? Or am I missing a rule

Tactical time-outs an increasing problem in football. A few PL clubs do it. Even England have done it. Caoimhin Kelleher may have genuinely been injured - he was able to play on - but Leeds United’s frustration at the disruption was understandable. They were building, had brought on subs and then the game paused. Daniel Farke already raised concerns earlier this season. Gianluigi Donnarumma went down and Manchester City players went to touchline for instructions. Farke asked the fourth official if he was going to do something. Officials’ hands are tied at the moment. Teams getting round rule for outfield players to go off for 30 seconds after treatment. Now goalkeepers used for tactical timeouts. IFAB has discussed a nominated outfield player going off for 30 seconds if a keeper has treatment. But concern that a keeper could genuinely have been injured. Possible solution is for players to be stopped from going to the touchline during stoppages or ordered to stay in the centre circle.  Be interesting to see whether World Cup refs clamp down. It’s seeking an advantage by breaking up opposition’s flow, by giving the manager an opportunity for instructions and also it’s time-wasting - and there’s enough of that spoiling games.

The FA has set a target for 25% of England men’s team coaches to come from Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic (BAME) backgrounds by 2028. For the Lionesses’ coaching staff, the aim is 50% representation. The organisation has also stated that it wants women to make up 50% of its overall workforce by 2028.

@Simon_Ingari Some people cannot be trusted to work from home, if the office wants to enforce working from the office, like everyone did pre Covid, that's their right. People managed with childcare before Covid, I'm sure they can now. Only thing is they should think about a raise for travel

Boss: We’re back in the office, 5 days a week. Non-negotiable. Employee: But I was hired on remote basis… I can’t afford the commute, and I have no childcare. 5 weeks later... Employee: Here’s my notice. I found a remote job where they actually value work-life balance. Boss: Wait, we can work something out! Employee: Too late. Forcing people back just for “teamwork and culture” while they still sit on Zoom in the office? That’s missing the point. Real culture happens when you respect what employees actually need to do their best. How true is this....

@MrPitbull07 Servers often tip out the bartender, food runner, and busser based on sales, not tips. On a $1,500 check and a $25 tip, the server likely lost money waiting on that table

Ran up a $1500 dinner tab and when the receipt came back they had those cute little “suggested tips” printed like I’m supposed to casually drop another $300 just because someone carried plates from kitchen to table. I left $25 which honestly felt generous considering I already paid restaurant-level prices for the food itself. Server immediately got weird about it, attitude switched, barely a thank you, just that tight smile people do when they think you violated some unspoken rule. I told her straight up tipping isn’t a percentage subscription service and I’m not funding someone’s rent just because the bill happened to be high. Manager wandered over trying to smooth it out, hinting about “industry standards” like that magically obligates me. That only made me dig in harder because nowhere else do you get charged more for the exact same task just because the total went up. So I signed it exactly how it was, stood up, and walked out while they all stared like I committed financial treason, and if they think I’m coming back there to play along with that system again they’re seriously confused. @AbstractTruthSP @thecavemommy Are you seriously saying she's not allowed to spend probably less than a minute taking a picture because her children aren't allowed to use ipads at a coffee shop? In that case why not let them watch rated 18 films or drink alcohol because the adults are allowed to. Grow up

@thecavemommy So you tell your kids that screen time is bad and forbid it, but you model the opposite with your own behavior? Be careful, eventually your kids will see this hypocrisy, and question what else you've taught them that is the same. Live what you teach. Get off social media.

Look, I’m not saying you’re a bad parent to give your kid an iPad when you’re out to eat. But if you just push through and don’t give in, avoid nice restaurants for a while and practice at places like Starbucks, Panera, and Cracker Barrel - eventually when they’re 2 1/2, you’ll be able to take him to a coffee shop and fellow patrons won’t be disturbed by his presence when they’re trying to study. You actually will get compliments. He’ll sit in his chair well behaved and eat his snack, having a conversation with you. Then look out the window and watch cars go by for entertainment when you have to nurse the baby. Obviously every kid is different - but just never give them the iPad and see what happens. Once you give it to them, it’s hard to take it back. Kids won’t learn how to behave in public if you don’t just take them in public and practice.

@moving_charlie @reportingLibya Well I don't claim to know much about the market, but I do know what the houses down my street were sold at when they were built around 8 years ago and what they are currently being sold at. Maybe the value of the area has gone up more than the average. Who knows

“We paid £600,000 with Help to Buy for this London new build 4 years ago. We’d like to sell it. We realise we’re not going to make any money on it, but we’d like to get our money back.” Agent: “I’m very sorry I don’t think we can help.” rather than be the ones to tell them it will struggle to get £400k now. Today, first hand. 4 years of mortgage payments. Now add in a £200k loss. Utterly brutal. Renting really would have been cheaper. This is the harsh reality for many that all the average “House Price Indexes” and accompanying news stories are glossing over. If they’d been staying for the long term, it wouldn’t have mattered so much. But if you’re moving within 5 years? Never buy a new build.

The new price contains a retail premium of between 5% and 20% (depending how much they get you to overpay) which evaporates the moment you buy it. If it's also a leasehold, it's flatlined at best in the last 10 years, many have lost 30%. If it's a freehold house and you're buying to live in forever, that's priceless, just don't expect to make money any more. The last 30 years have been an anomaly of abnormally low interest rates, artificial price stimulation (eg Help to Buy) plus endless lending and blind optimism. That party is over, now the hangover and the bill!

@linmeitalks Well I have had a student loan for 14 years now, barely pay anything off it a month and hasn't impacted me buying a house/getting a mortgage. It only affects those who earn loads of money. Who honestly doesn't think they will have to pay a loan back & pay interest ?

Not sure why people can’t comprehend how student loan/debt should be treated as a scandal. Most of us were TOLD at school…. When we were CHILDREN, you’ll get a loan which will have minimal impact on you, don’t worry about it too much, just apply on UCAS and hope for the best. No one told us about the increase of crippling interest, how it will affect your ability to buy a house and your general take home income, with little hope of paying it off….. No one thought …. Let’s ensure these financial products are fully understood by these bunch of KIDS who have never even had a credit card or an overdraft in life. How can people understand misselling for car loans, Accident claims, loans sharks, but not this??

@estel1414 I've seen children not given dairy and sugar and the parents wonder why they won't eat food and start to worry. Nursery then starts to give them snacks with sugar in and their appetite is fine - not craving sugar but they'll at least eat. Babies honestly don't need these fads
