Gaza has been destroyed. Hamas no longer threatens us. Iran has been severely struck. Hezbollah is much less of a threat. Children in the Gaza border area will grow up without “Red Alert” sirens every few weeks. There will not be another round of fighting with Gaza anytime soon. Reality has changed. In the War of Independence, we also paid a very heavy price in lives. And it ended in victory — one that is still celebrated to this day. We are in that same place now. And that is what the enemy will come to understand.
