Phil Lyman sat down w/ Deseret News to describe his political philosophy and views on issues.
On Iran, Lyman said Trump's war has been “hijacked” by deep-state actors in his Cabinet or military to become a "fiasco" and a "quagmire" straying from his objectives.
On spending, Lyman said $39 trillion in debt is impossible to recover from, so Americans should invest in digital currency which should not be regulated.
On growth, Lyman said Utah's economic strength is a "facade" for a system that hurts regular Utahns through public-private partnerships that benefit the "oligarchy."
On elections, Lyman said a lack of transparency, competence, reliability and honesty has convinced him that top state officials should not be trusted.
When asked if he would trust the results of the CD3 race against Rep. Celeste Maloy, Lyman said he will “verify the election results" through a "statistical analysis."
Lyman distinguished himself from the GOP establishment, and from "MAGA loyalists," saying he aligns most with the House Freedom Caucus.
“I save all my criticism for the Republicans because I see a willingness to go along with policies and operations that they should be standing up against,” Lyman said.
