I advise @OfficialPDPNig not to take #GiveUsPeterObi for granted. It might cost them hugely if they do so. If they intend to deny @PeterObi the ticket, they should thread with caution.

@PeterObi APC/Tinubu are only good in speech making, after which they laugh at Nigerians as fools. But we're not fools. Time will tell.

“This Experience Will Not Repeat Itself” - Another Presidential Promise fails in less than 24 Hours. Less than 24 hours after President Tinubu stood at the Jos Plateau State airport on April 2, 2026, and promised the grieving Nigerian citizens, “I promise you that this experience will not repeat itself,” another brutal attack occurred in Nyamgo Gyel, Jos South LGA, resulting in the deaths of several innocent citizens. Since then, and only a week following that reassuring promise from the President, Nasarawa State has been plunged into grief as the Akyawa and Udege Kasa communities fled for their lives after gunmen killed at least 11 people. Many homes were reduced to ashes, and numerous families remain missing. In Zamfara State, 150 innocent Nigerians were abducted from the Kurfa Danya and Kurfan Magaji communities in one of the largest mass kidnappings in recent times. On the same day of the Zamfara kidnappings, terrorists in Borno State stormed Chibok, killing four officers and burning down homes. Yesterday, on Easter Sunday, Benue State was rocked by violence again, with over 17 Nigerians massacred, entire communities left in ruins, and many individuals still unaccounted for. Today, in Kaduna State, several innocent citizens were killed by terrorists inside churches, with many others abducted in the Ariko community of Kachia LGA. Yet we were told, “This experience will not repeat itself.” This represents a failure of leadership and responsibility, and sadly, Nigerians are paying for it with their lives. These attackers are not ghostly figures; our inaction emboldens them. How can a President make such a categorical promise and, mere hours later, the nation continues to count the dead across multiple states? The primary responsibility of any government is to protect lives and property; however, this responsibility is failing today. Nigerians are being slaughtered in their homes, in their communities, and in the very places they should feel safest. Even the President did not enter these communities, so who is truly safe in Nigeria? This is a national emergency. Nigeria is bleeding, and the situation is worsening and increasingly helpless. A New Nigeria is POssible. -PO

Upon my return to Abuja, I was parked by a soldier on duty who asked where I was heading, and I mentioned FCT. He politely asked if could lift one of his colleagues to Abuja, and I said it was fine. When I was few meters close to Giri junction, I asked the officer his route, he was heading to Zuba while I was going through Lugbe axis to the town. I told him Zuba isn’t far. Transport is around 2-300 Naira. I asked if he was going to stop there(Zuba), or he was heading somewhere. He then told me he was going home to see for the first time after 10 months, his newly born twins. No permission was granted over the period. Sadly, he had to make the compulsory trip because his wife had called that one of the babies had died. And she urged him to come see the other twin in case he will die too. I asked him why he didn’t leave earlier than he left. He replied that he waited with the hope that salaries will be paid, since today is second, but it wasn’t, unfortunately. How then do you intend to make it, I asked him. He showed me all the money he had on him –4,500 which wasn’t even enough to get him to his destination. I could not help than give him 20k and I took his phone number, giving him my words that I will call to get information about the sick baby. I want to ask a question, please 🙏🏻 Are these the soldiers we expect to lay down their lives in our protection? You’re owing soldiers, and you want them to be effective while fighting insecurity? Sadly, this is really laughable. Tales of a soldier on easter.

President Trump has cancelled his planned speech, which was supposed to talk about the operation in Iran. One thing I'm so sure of is that Trump does not really know the history of the Persians. Unfortunately, those who should educate him have failed to do so. If he knows whom the Persians are, especially in the art of warfare, he would not dare them. The Persians are warriors. No nation on earth can subdue them. Iran was not colonised by any Western nation during the boom of colonialism. Persians know how to frustrate their oppressors and transgressors. America has made a grievous mistake. Adejare Ibrahim

I never imagined I would be back here this soon… but life has its own plans. Just a few days ago, I was here praying, believing, and holding on to hope with everything in me. Yesterday Feb 28th, my heart became heavy in a way words can barely explain. You took you last breath in the early hours of the morning. My dear mum, my Busayo Omolara Awofodu-Johnson nee Adeneye… you fought with everything you had. You showed us strength in its purest form. Even in pain, you stood tall. Even in the storm, you did not stop fighting. If love alone could have kept you here, you would have stayed forever. Thank you for being our covering. Thank you for taking those bullets on our behalf’s. Thank you for the sacrifices nobody saw. Thank you for the prayers you whispered over us when we were not even paying attention. You were more than a mother, you were our backbone, our safe place, our quiet strength. This pain is deep, but I hold on to the comfort that you are finally at peace, free from every struggle and every pain you carried with so much grace. Keep resting in the bosom of the Lord, my sweet mum. Until we meet again. I love you… and I will always carry you with me. ❤️🤍💜🕊️

My mummy 😫 Even though you are strong right now, I just need to say this ,I love you. I may not say it as often as I should, but on your special day, here I am saying it with my whole heart. These past months and weeks have not been easy. I go about my days trying to be strong, smiling, acting like everything is fine… but sometimes I can’t hold back the tears when I think about the pain you’re going through. Watching someone you love fight so hard is not easy. But you? You have never stopped fighting. As I write this birthday message, my biggest prayer is for your healing. Complete healing. Every single fiber, every nerve, every vein in your body receives divine healing in the mighty name of Jesus. Strength where there is weakness. Peace where there is fear. Restoration where there has been pain. 2015 came and you beat breast cancer. You stood tall. You showed us what strength looks like. And now 2025 came with its drama again… but I know you. I know your God. And I know this is not the end of your story. You will still be with us for a long, long time. You will live long. You will stay strong. You will laugh again without pain. In Jesus’ name. Happy 76th birthday, Iya Seun ❤️ You are more than a mother. You are our strength, our covering, our testimony. And if this message gets to your TL, please say a little prayer for my mum. That’s the best birthday gift you can give her today. I love you. Even when I don’t say it enough… please always know that I do and I can’t wait to laugh with you ,like we always do❤️

The Nigerian government paid Boko Haram militants a “huge” ransom of millions of dollars to free up to 230 children and staff the jihadists abducted from a Catholic school in November, intelligence sources told AFP. Two Boko Haram commanders were also freed as part of the deal, which goes against the country’s own law banning payments to kidnappers. AFP

On this day 22 February, 2016, 10 years ago, six Nigerian Catholic Seminarians from the Vincentian congregation, died through auto crash in Enugu State, Nigeria. The report had it that one of the back tyres got burst and the bus somersaulted severally. It was a black day for the Vincentians and for the church in Nigeria. We thank God too for the survivors. We continue to pray for the peaceful repose of the deceased and for consolation to their parents and loved ones and to the Vincentian congregation of Nigerian Province. Rest on brothers😭 1. “I had obtained and filled the INEC form to go to the Senate, then I realised that I have a Governorship candidate, Mr Babatunde Fashola, and Obasanjo was the President, determined to win Lagos state. "I told myself, 'if I go ahead, I will strive to win my seat while leaving Fashola to his fate'. Then one morning, I called Ganiyu Solomon and told him to follow me to Abuja, we landed, and off we went to the INEC office, withdrew my form, and handed him another form. Ganiyu was shocked, he asked me for what sir, I said fill the form, he did and that was how I was able to concentrate in the Governorship election, Fashola won and Gani also won his seat. We must make sacrifices......"President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu
