@EmmaFreylink @DarranSF Speechify is solid. Helps catch those small mistakes. I used Audioread to listen to articles and PDFs while on the go. Keeps me productive during commutes.

My mistakes are easier to spot if: I READ OUT LOUD! Just a thorough writer, thinking about writing…

@chersmithbooks @DarranSF Another writer told me about Speechify. I do a ton of research, and it's easier to have someone read it aloud for me. So I usually paste the info into Speechify. But it also helps a ton when I do editing.

@DarranSF Yes. When I'm working on a book, I want to be in bed, with snacks and coffee, and thematic soundtracks blaring in my ears. I managed 10k words in a day once. But when it's for work, I just need coffee and no interruptions.

Do you have a favourite place to write? Just a desperate writer asking dumb questions to get some interaction… Disclaimer: This is a parody post. Any replies may be subject to time zone delay and blistering sarcasm.

@DarranSF Same. I spent years learning how to use it and it's already loaded onto my computer, so why would I want to pay an x amount of money just to learn how to use a new program that has even less features than MS Word?

My 2yo daughter ran onto the house this afternoon, and waved a stick at me. She told me that she's a pirate, and that she was going to use her sword to kill monsters. Sir Terry would be proud.

@EmmaFreylink I don't know, it started telling me that I was an award-winning sock puppet operator for children's television in Norway.

My daughter's been admitted to hospital twice this year. Basically, she's asthmatic, and whenever she catches the flu, it always develops into bronchitis or pneumonia. It's gotten to the point that I can greet the nursing staff in the pediatrics unit by name 🤦‍♀️
