We are dismayed that Birmingham, the UK’s second city, will lose almost all its council funding for the arts over the next 2 years. Defunding the arts will harm quality of life, exacerbate inequalities & set back economic recovery. It will only make our problems worse. (1/8)🧵

This weekend’s acquisitions from local sell or swap sites. Sofa £100, lamp (which extends to much higher than this), £50. (House is a work in progress so excuse the floor).

Last night, I came up to NiNaw on the sofa, sniffed her, wagged my tail, and stood still whilst she sniffed me over. Ally was all 😃🥰🥹. Actually, I was making NiNaw get off the sofa 😏😏😏🤭. I didn't want to sit next to this weirdo.

Imagine if Wood Street overground station was this colourful @transportforlondon ? 🌞 Tuesday's Inside Illustration @theaoi was great. A talk by mural artists Greg Stobbs and Dave Bain. Plus a brief - I mocked up 2pieces for my local station.

It's interesting how this made me think about my work. I have been making some pieces with fewer ink lines or with no lines recently, and on a large scale removing the linework felt right. There's some evolution going on

The psychedelic Aquarius piece is begging to be huge. The colour would change the corner & link into the environment with the water, watchful eye & careful hands. My alternative was these native (& local) birds.Epping forest is just up the road and hollow ponds a few minutes away

We celebrated 10yrs of choir last night& the woman who makes it happen w/gifts& buckets of booze! Thanks @NaturalVoices for being a fecking joy. I drew a cocktail page to celebrate our glorious leader! Thanks @printerdreams for epic print quality as per. Pic3 from @greenwellys
