I have big news, Twitter friends. I’ve taken a buyout from the Spec and won’t be returning to the newsroom after my maternity leave. I obviously have lots of thoughts and feelings about this, but for the time being, I’ll just leave it at this:

Reading Emma's thread and responses reminded me of what a great job our local journalists do covering Hamilton issues. How much we need the work of these people in our growing and transforming community. And how troubling that the Spec is increasingly out-sourcing content.
