Is $NEAR Coming Back From The Dead? I still remember when $NEAR was one of the most hyped L1 coins in the market. Back then everyone was talking about it. Fast chain, good tech, strong backers, big ecosystem dream, classic “Ethereum killer” energy. At one point, $NEAR even traded around $20. But after that broo, it felt dead to me for like 3–4 years. The chart was ugly, hype disappeared, ecosystem felt quiet, and honestly I stopped caring too and I think this thing is fcking cooked. But now $NEAR is starting to get attention again. And this time, the story is not just fast and cheap L1 anymore. People are watching because NEAR is now sitting in the middle of AI, chain abstraction, intents, and privacy. Instead of users dealing with bridges, gas, routes, and 20 annoying steps, you just say what you want to do and the backend handles it. That’s actually the kind of UX crypto has needed for years. They also pushed Confidential Intents recently, adding a privacy angle to cross-chain execution. Plus NEAR has been talking about post-quantum security too. Is this going to send it straight back to ATH? I dont think so. But I get why people are watching again. Old L1 / Dead chart / Fresh narrative / AI and privacy angle. Sometimes I think thats enough for the market to start paying attention again.

I think the markets are still undervaluing $NEAR by a long stretch. It's the largest position in my #Altcoin portfolio, and I think it's ready for a big upward breakout. I've started to emphasize the BTC valuations of #Altcoins at this stage, as that will tell me whether I'll be outperforming Bitcoin (otherwise I'd be better off holding Bitcoin). Given that NEAR Intents is taking off and the number of swaps is constantly increasing --> a higher amount of revenue is generated. It opens the door to more upside for the protocol itself, as the current valuation relative to revenue (P/E ratio) is still substantially lower than Solana's or Hype's. Technically, it's facing strong resistance on the BTC pair, which should be able to break upwards if it does. If that does happen, and as the markets build stamina through higher highs and higher lows, we can expect a 40-50% run against Bitcoin on this pair.

imagine telling someone in 2027 that the chain with verifiable private AI, $1.5B in cross-chain volume, and Arthur Hayes calling for ATH was trading at $2B in May 2026. Guess the chain
