@FischerKing64 This is rallying around a colleague to send a message of solidarity, despite the fact that she broke the law. What should be done is the opposite, a censor by fellow judges explaining why this type of behavior is not acceptable and why it is dangerous to our democracy.

Absolute immunity protects judges from civil liability for actions they take. You can’t sue them for $$ even if they get it wrong. It doesn’t protect a judge from their criminal activity. Like if they take bribes - they can be prosecuted. The judges defending her are morons.

I just conducted unannounced oversight of the Northwest Detention Center, which serves my district, and what I witnessed was devastating. One woman, who has called this country home for 20 years, was detained just days before her wedding to a U.S. citizen. Another man, a legal permanent resident for 31 years, a proud member of the Machinists Union, and a father of three U.S. citizen children, is also being held in detention. Trump is detaining our neighbors, coworkers, and loved ones without guaranteed due process and no accountability. That’s not American; that’s authoritarianism. I will not back down from this fight.
