Today as the world celebrates the #InternationalWomensDay, YEAN celebrates the strength, resilience, and leadership of women, especially those transforming agriculture and building stronger communities. We work daily with committed women agripreneurs and agronomists and their courage keeps the food system stronger . Happy #IWD26

On this #InternationalWomensDay2026,we celebrate the strength and potential of girls who have dropped out of school. At #LIFT’s safe spaces,they find #mentorship,learn life skills,rebuild #confidence & begin to see themselves as young #women capable of shaping their own futures.

Ahead of #InternationalWomensDay, we are uniting to break barriers and build access to quality education, being free from #GBV , teenage pregnancies and support of victims. Yet many women and girls still face unfair systems that limit their safety, opportunities, and future.#IWD

Two days of reflection, learning, and planning with the Rwanda Young Women SRHR Network @SRHRRWA included GLF Rwanda came together to review progress, strengthen collaboration, and define collective advocacy priorities to advance SRHR for women and girls in Rwanda. #SRHR

Over the past two days, members of the Rwanda Young Women SRHR Network came together for a Quarterly Reflection and Strategic Planning Meeting to review progress, share experiences, and strengthen collective advocacy for SRHR in Rwanda. Empowered to Empower!

Today,our 3-day #MEL workshop has concluded,We brought together MEL staff from 16 partner #organizations for a dynamic space of learning,collaboration and reflection. They explored MEL systems,tools and applied concepts which will strengthen their project MEL practices.

Today, #LIFT is delivering training for #Safeguarding Focal Points & HR staff from partner organisations to strengthen their safeguarding capacity. The session focuses on strengthening safeguarding governance,HR integration, risk & case management and safe reporting systems.

2/2 It strengthened their readiness for continued engagement in education,skills development&personal growth enabling confidence &resilience.Young mothers will remain linked to the ongoing support mechanisms under our program &in collaboration with @KireheDistrict . #empowerher

We held Life Skills &Psychosocial sessions for teen moms to prepare them for TVET as an Alternative Learning Program to education under the @LIFT_Rwanda. These focused on building self esteem,emotional regulation,coping strategies,decision-making,goal setting &problem-solving.

Today we had the pleasure of welcoming Audacious and our long-term partner Equimundo to see BANDEBEREHO in action ✨ From meeting Gakenke District authorities to joining community health workers during the sessions, it was a powerful moment to showcase our scale-up model and the change happening on the ground.

Today, 23 February, @RwandaAgriBoard Head Office in @HuyeDistrict , we held an inception & validation workshop on the Operationalization and Management of Irrigation Schemes (OMIS) project in partnership with @RwandaAgriBoard, covering @Nyamagabe , @Nyamasheke , and @RusiziDistrict . The workshop brought together farmer cooperative leaders, irrigation water user organizations, and YEAN agronomists to validate the implementation plan. In these districts we support 15,599 farmers grouped in 12 cooperatives to improve productivity and ensure sustainable irrigation management. #Irrigation #OMIS #YEAN

@EmpowerRwanda A meaningful initiative delivering integrated health, psychosocial, legal, and civil registration services, while promoting education pathways to empower teen mothers and improve long term outcomes for them and their children.

Teen pregnancy should not end a girl’s education&future potentials. Under @LIFT_Rwanda ,@EmpowerRwanda &partners are giving out-of-school teen moms second chance of education thru formal education&TVET pathways ensuring equal opportunities like other girls.#empowerher #Dignity

The district remains committed to their safety, education, and reintegration, ensuring survivors receive protection , legal assistance to access justice and access opportunities to rebuild their future."

@rangira Mayor of @KireheDistrict assured teenage mothers that "local leaders are supportive of their education journey and will always offer holistic support to resolve their compounded issues.

Under the @LIFT_Rwanda Project, in partenership with @KireheDistrict ,we hosted a GBV Clinic bringing teenage mothers,parents,service providers, security organs & Local Gov’t Leaders, to discuss issues affecting #TeenMoms and jointly propose remedial actions.
