@theEndurancePT@UKRunChat Offloading. Whatever the injury, it seems to be off load and build back slowly. Doesn’t always work when you’re trying to race. Very frustrating (but possibly the right thing 🤷♀️)
Q3: What do you find the most frustrating area or injury around running injury advice as far as conflicting evidence / information and mixed messaging? #ukrunchat@UKRunChat
Stages of running injury denial:
1. Run it off *
2. Icing and / or heat
3. Foam rolling / taping
4. Ibuprofen
5. Naproxen
6. Googling the likelihood of tendon rupture in runners …
7. Confessing continuing to run after all above to physio 😩 😩
* stage can last for many weeks 😂
Hello Happy December @ukrunchat! Great to Co-Host this eve!
Q1: I’m interested in your wish lists! What kit, gear or race entry would you like to receive this Xmas? #ukrunchat
@jen_f16@UKRunChat Anything over 1 mile and you have the save and calibrate option on Garmin. You can adjust to the mileage displayed on the treadmill (if you think that’s accurate 🤣)
@rununbound@trainwithsoar@UKRunChat Posterior tibial currently… feels like a new one every few months! At least I’m learning where all the tendons are 😂
Do you know what areas you are most prone to injury, and what areas are they?
