@Matilda_Chinah Focus on what you can control (career) and leave what you cannot control (marriage). When it is time, marriage will happen, and if it doesn’t happen, know that despite your effort, marriage is not in every human’s destiny. Focus on food to eat first before hunger kills you.

Many women are killing it in their careers but crying in private about delayed marriage and motherhood. What would you advise your younger sister today career first or family first?"

@ayoabol @ChisomAgbafor To be honest, it all compounds. The stress to make it quick, the quality of air, poisonous foods, fake drug and drinks, lack of medical care, lack of proper nutrients, lack of exercise etc it’s all compounding. Nigerian environment does not support a long and healthy life.

One thing I noticed after meeting people from different countries is that Nigerians are raised with an insane amount of pressure attached to success. Everything is urgency. Make money quickly. Blow quickly. Figure life out quickly. Help your family quickly. Get married quickly. Buy house quickly. You people don’t even realize how much anxiety that kind of environment creates until you leave it for a while and suddenly meet people who are actually allowed to grow at a normal human pace.

@tomisin_ms There are other brilliant and tactical ways to get someone to adjust thier behaviour. Nagging is a low cognitive-power alternative. When u r dealing with humans, u must deploy some executive level strategies to resolve issues, not just opening mouth to shout, nag & expel saliva.

AFTER HOW MANY CHILDREN
“My dad was a man of very few words. I could literally count how many words he spoke in a day” Meanwhile my mum was always talking, complaining, nagging even when he clearly was not interested. No wonder he left That is avoidance, stonewalling and emotional withdrawal, and over time it destroys a marriage.

@Two_Faced_godd @MaryRoseMalomo Akube Dangote ? What’s that ? Is that an attempt at sarcasm ? You don’t sound very bright and upstanding. Anyways, I see why you are fighting for meat. Mum should’ve given u dt extra meat. It would’ve prevented u from coming online to chat like a street urchin in your adult age.

@Two_Faced_godd @MaryRoseMalomo I only said if there is scarcity of meat, the children go first, but if there is abundance, then the adults can be accommodated. You insisted that scarcity or not, the father must eat all the meat. I know someone that grew up in extreme poverty when I see one. Once again, sorry.

@Two_Faced_godd @MaryRoseMalomo From your response it seems meat is really your problem and meat is always a problem in poor homes. I am so sorry for what poverty has done to you. As an adult, pls eat more of fish and other sources of protein, leave the beef and goat meat for the children. Poverty is bad sha.

@En_123489 @MaryRoseMalomo 🤣🤣The damage social media does to people like you is scary. Just soak in everytging. So you were taught in school that proteins is only needed for growth? As a matter of FACT older people require more proteins per kg than younger people. Proteins goes beyond growth

@Two_Faced_godd @MaryRoseMalomo If the meat is not enough, then the children should get the most meat because they need that protein for their growth.

@talk2veee One of the worst thing that can ever happen to a parent is to die and leave a young vulnerable child esp in Nigeria. I am happy he didn’t leave anyone behind to suffer. You need to listen to orphans, parentless or single parent kids and hear their plight.

Low key, I wish Alex has a secret child somewhere that we know nothing about. A child that looks exactly like him & serves as a consolation to the people he left behind. It is well..

@Maazijnr Alex lived life ! He did what he loved doing (acting) He had fame He lived in beautiful houses, drove beautiful cars, wore beautiful clothes, ate delicious meals. In his short 40 yrs, he lived. There are people that will live up to 80 but never taste beautiful things in life.

@Row_Haastrup It all boils down to economic power. Poor women try to salvage because hunger will kill them and thier children. Well to do women that can care for themselves don’t salvage shit, they walk. So when marrying that independent woman, just know you are on a short leash.

I want to ask a question without bias… If a woman’s first instinct when her man cheats is to see how to salvage her marriage, why is a man’s first instinct how to divorce her woman if she cheats. Just honest responses please

@Uchechukwu_Jeny @Rene_noire Tbh, majority of women don’t leave because they lack economic power, not because they have such forgiving or good heart. The ones that can feed themselves and their kids always leave at the slightest disrespect. It all boils down to economic power.

@Sugar_Pops_ Your mum did what ? I hate docile women so much. They posture meekness so that men will like them or the society will call them “good woman”, and that posturing for decades often removes all agency in them. How can your blood not boil on hearing such from your little baby girl ?

This story is 100% true 😂 One time one boy in our street tried to r@pe my little sister in an uncompleted building (we occasionally use it as a short cut to get to the next street). My mum didn’t take it seriously but my sister was traumatized and coincidentally, I came back from school the following week. She lost her slippers during the struggle to escape. Luckily, she wasn’t hurt at all. It was late evening and he followed her. She said she knew his face because he lives down the street and he’s always perambulating up and down like a stray dog. She pointed him out to our other sister one day and that one caught him by his shirt and started landing slaps on his face but people gathered and he escaped but she also refused to disclose what he did in order to protect our little sister. After I heard all these, omo my blood was boiling. My sisters said they still see him around and he’s always walking towards that uncompleted building side so we plucked stems to use as cane, carried rope from our backyard, then went and stayed in the building to wait for him. This mumu boy actually came and that’s how we caught him, held him down, then tied him up. Tiny rat like this o. We beat shege out of that boy and took his money to replace my sister’s slippers, then left him there. Till we moved out of river road, he’d turn around and take on his heels anytime he sees either of us.
Lasaki Bukola@Prettigilo

The day I caught one at toll gate, an elderly man ooo, I held his cloth tight and gave him 3 hot slaps, before he tore the cloth, left it in my hands and ran. Serves him right, dem for let make he collect wella

You can leave your career for a man, follow him to a desert to live, risk your life to bring his offsprings to this world, change your surname, forfeit employment opportunities.. and they still won't think you sacrificed anything The only sacrifices they recognize is monetary.
