“WHEN SILENCE BREAKS. ACCOUNTABILITY FOR SEXUAL VIOLENCE IN CONFLICT.” From Rwanda to the former Yugoslavia, from hybrid courts to national judgements - decades of courageous survivors and justice actors have transformed global accountability for conflict‑related sexual violence. March - April 2026 we displayed an exhibition at UNHQ that highlighted landmark cases, legal milestones, and the growing role of survivors as agents of change. Justice is possible. The world is beginning to listen. 🇺🇳

This International Day of #Multilateralism and #Diplomacy for a Peace, we reaffirm that ending wartime sexual violence requires collective action to prevent war. Lasting peace is built when states, communities, and survivors’ voices work together for protection and accountability.
