Our laws will spell that out, plain as day ... anything less is theft"

I hear about creators getting demonetized daily, something is really wrong at Epic. Why can't we just update our maps and get monetization back quickly?

This is now the third creator to be demonetized for microtransactions while featured in Epic’s Picks. Creators are required to disclose information about their microtransactions during the Epic’s Picks approval process, so why does this keep happening, @FNCreate? Seeing three creators face demonetization after passing this additional review is genuinely concerning. It makes me question whether submitting to Epic’s Picks is worth the risk, especially when enforcement appears to happen only after an experience has already been approved and featured. Please look into this, @TimSweeneyEpic. Creators should receive clear warnings and an opportunity to address these issues before being demonetized, particularly when their experiences and monetization systems have already gone through the thorough Epic’s Picks review process. Meanwhile, many experiences outside Epic’s Picks continue to profit from far more questionable microtransaction practices without appearing to face the same scrutiny. Creators need clearer standards, consistent enforcement, and better communication.

@itsEasonn @TactFNC I know the three dot answer isn't helpful. The goal wouldn't be to get rid of AI entirely but significantly reduce the use of gen AI. As soon as a machine is doing all the thinking for you then you learn next to nothing. Learning new skills shouldn't be seen as a negative.

This is the beginning of the end of the AI luddite movement and it’s long overdue. AI is a generational productivity tool for all fields, and companies whose decisions get co-opted by AI haters will become entirely unviable as competition whizzes by with better products.

@TimSweeneyEpic @LiyabilityJP This is very out of touch. Anyone who uses AI to code or make "art" use the AI because they don't want to learn or continue to learn that skill. The AI does all the thinking for you and that's the end goal of it too. If it wasn't then education would be the priority not laziness.

@LiyabilityJP One should talk to AI and use it as a comp sci professor to learn subjects you’re getting immersed in. Junior devs can move up way faster this way in knowledge and understanding than in the past, and the value of just being an unknowledgable prompter will be fairly low.

Imagine if it was one customizable skin and you could choose between different pieces and colorways. Idk, these skins just don't seem very creative to be standalone representations of their pieces. We could have gotten some real bad ass designs.

@TrickTyger I'm very curious how much money Epic is spending on this feature. I'd imagine that it could get to a point where the feature get's depricated because Epic can't support it anymore. If that's the case it would be nicer to see them work on permanent features rather than this.

@Wertandrew Only map I can think of that blew me away was Party Golf by Weeplow. It really does feel like it's own polished game. The problem is that Roblox and Steam copies are what's rewarded the most in the space so why go out of your way to make something original in Fortnite.

So I finally got into contact with Epic. The final verdict is that the sanctions are valid and the assets technically broke the rules. I have an update ready for KPDH RP that addresses the feedback you guys gave. Including the lighting issues currently present. (1/2)

@Enderbite I was also demonetized for a second time this year under similar circumstances. I've been open about it and also given a detailed breakdown of where I think moderation fails directly to Epic. Hopefully we see change.
