“We don’t think that anyone has the constitutional right to double-digit returns…it’s not in the Constitution.” Of course it doesn’t need to be in the Constitution. The Constitution is about restraining government, not about restraining profits.

This is the new protein cup at Chipotle It is supposed to be 4 ounces of chicken or steak Here’s how much it actually weighs when it’s put on the scale… This is weighed without the packaging, just the chicken You can see the container is pretty full, you wouldn’t think it’s short We are being robbed blind in America

data centers are stupid but so is this argument. Swamp coolers that evaporate hot water off the roof is by now old technology that parodoxically works in non humid environments (deserts/absence of water supply) and is for hot aisle/cold aisle air throwing to cool racks. The new shit is a closed loop system of direct to chip liquid cooling and uses highly filtered water to avoid contaminents blocking the cooling pathways that are about 3 hair diameters.

Unironically optimize for light position. Don't be reckless but light position will decide if you make the next light and becomes minutes saved, whilst speeding does nothing This is the only driving hack that works as normies don't understand time and pipeline bottlenecks.

Do your comparisons per Kilowatt Hour to find efficiency. How much waste of coal ash is generated per kilowatt hour vs wind turbine life cycle? What is coal ash used for vs wind turbine byproducts, and don’t forget to include the energy expended in creating the blades and salvaging the blades against the energy they produce in your calculations.

@Electroversenet Every single year 100 million tons of coal ash are generated globally as well as hundreds of millions of tons of other pollution. That's an order of magnitude more, every single year, than the total waste from wind turbines in 25 years. Moron.

An estimated 40 million tons of wind turbine blades will end up in landfills by 2050. Each modern blade weighs around 10 to 15 tons--mostly fiberglass and epoxy composites with 1 to 2 tons of carbon fiber, balsa and foam, plus roughly a ton of steel and copper for structural support and lightning protection. All mined, smelted and transported using fossil fuels. Then once they wear out, after just 15 years, those complex materials are almost impossible to recycle, so most are simply buried. It's another hidden cost of green energy and the complete opposite of sustainable.

in a free market it certainly is, but when the government artificially influences the mechanisms of free market capitalism, incentives (life force, energy, time, logistics, etc) become corrupted and oligarchy dictates the winners (we don’t bury blades, we up-cycle them at tremendous costs).

@JohnLeFevre Also read that his net worth at death was $1.5 million--far, far less than many of his peers, many of whom enriched themselves in legal and illegal ways. And what he paid into a government pension for 30 years will go to others. Didn't agree with him. But devoted guy.

I often criticized Lindsey Graham. But this weekend, I learned his full story: - Orphaned young, he adopted & raised his little sister instead of letting her go into the system. - Grew up dirt poor, racking balls in his parents’ pool hall. - In search of opportunity, he joined the Air Force. Served 33 years. Retired a Colonel. - Then spent decades in Congress, earning respect across the aisle. - Bashed Trump hard in ~2016, then respected the will of the voters, and grew to become a loyal ally. - Humble. Devoted to his constituents. - Driven by patriotism (even when misguided). Never in it for the money. Could've cashed in any time like most of his colleagues. - That Disney trip everyone mocked? Just a good uncle taking his beloved nieces. He smiled through (and ignored) the hate to protect his family. RIP to a self-made American original.

each member should have a heat number and associated destructive and non-destructive test associated with it. Digging through that data should be quick with AI. Methinks the real problem is the design itself, eithee the columns are too small for the loads or the loads have been surpassed.

Construction bros, walk me through the additional costs these contestants just won. Are they going to have to do NDT testing on EVERY structural member in this building now?
Department of Buildings@NYC_Buildings

UPDATE: Crews working through the night have made significant progress in stabilizing the impacted building at 235 East 42nd Street. DOB inspectors and engineers will remain on site to monitor the progress of work and continue their investigation into the structural failure.

@NathanpmYoung @Aella_Girl The UK committed Seppuku to stop the Germans from taking their place atop the Eurotrash pile. You stifle free speech and free enterprise at the altar of carbon and equality. You are a self influcted foot note and fuck you, America is all that matters now.

@Aella_Girl I think this is probably true, but I do have some questions: - Was the UK adequately rewarded for its sacrifice in WW2 in protecting a liberal world? - Has the US sabotaged a multi-polar world through policy? - The US starts lots of wars. How good/bad is this?

the more i learn about history, the more I appreciate America. America is actually an extremely cool and special anomaly in the timeline of civilizations. It's so successful that it's allowed the people inside it to lose touch with how bad things can truly be
