''አብዲም ሆነ መሮ ስለሰላም ጉዳይ ከኔ ጋር ለመነጋገር ከፈለጉ እዚያው እነሱ ያሉበት ድረስ ሄጄ ለመነጋገር ዝግጁ ነኝ'' ሲሉ የኦሮሚያ ክልል ፕሬዚዳንት በይፋ ተነግረዋል። አያይዘውም ''ኦሮሚያ ማድረግ የምትችለውን ሁሉ አድርገን ወደ ሰላማዊ ሕይወት የሚመለሱትን ሁሉ ተቀብለን ለማስተናገድ ዝግጁ ነን'' ሲሉ ገልፀዋል። መንግሥት በክልሉ ሰላምን ለማስፈን መሄድ የሚገባውን ያህል ርቀት ሄዶአል። ፕሬዚዳንቱ እንዳሉትም አሁን ጠመንጃ አስነግቦ ሕዝባችን በሰላም እጦት እንዲሰቃይ የሚያደርስ ነገር የለም። በሰላማዊ መንገድ መታገል ሲቻል ጠመንጃ ማንሳት የሕዝብን ፍላጎት መሠረት የፓለቲካ አካሄድ አይሆንም። ማንኛውንም አጀንዳ በሰላም ማራመድ እየተቻለ፣ ማንኛውንም የፖለቲካ አማራጭ በሕዝብ ፍላጎት ላይ ተመሥርቶ መተግበር እየተቻለ በጠመንጃ አፈሙዝ የፈለጉትን ለማሟላት የሚደረግ እንቅስቃሴ ከፀረ ሕዝብነት ተለይቶ አይታይም። በመሆኑም ለሕዝቤ እቆረቆራለሁ የሚል ሁሉ የክልሉ መንግሥት ያቀረበውን የሰላም ጥሪ በመቀበል ያነሳውን ጠመንጃ ማስቀመጥ አለበት፤ ለመገዳደል የሚባክነውን አቅምና ሀብት ለሀገር ልማት ማዋል አለብን።
