If we look at the local geography of Delhi, with the river Yamuna and the Aravali range, we can also guess where the many “cities” of medieval Delhi were located. The highlighted areas in the image show the location of these cities.

@historiakayasth Such british style survey reports, became rare after ASI's Cunningham reports because they were not longer needed. Probably, many historians have visited these sites but didn't make any reports. Reports were only published by archaeologist if some excavation is also done.

The last time an archaeologist visited the Maniyagarh fort was in 1872, when JD Beglar explored the site for Chandela era ruins. Couldn't find any other reports on this site since. I am probably the first since Beglar.

Vikram Samvat was earlier known as Krita and later Malava samvat. The first inscription ever to use the word Vikram for Vikram Samvat was a Chauhan inscription from Rajasthan dated 898 VS.

Vikram samvat has 354 days, 12 months.. Saka samvat has 365 days 12 months, solar calender, no need to add extra days. People use Vikram samvat as it has got more emotional attachment, as it remembers Vikramaditya - an Indian king & his victory over the foreigners..

Most chalukya-chamahana jain temple art was renovated by the sompuras under anandji kalyanji pedhi in the 20th century itself. We could've had a stunning pratihara looking Surya with proper parshadas and ayudhas instead of Jaipuriya slop but samosa muncher committee doesn't care
