@mkristensen @EngstromJimmy If you're going to make an effort to make a change make it customizable. Solid works better in light mode but in dark mode sticks out too much. Icons that stick out more should only be used when there is good reason to stick out more and grab the user's attention

We're looking at updating the folder icons in Solution Explorer for Visual Studio 2026. Which do you prefer?

@mkristensen I guess opacity would help, but I don’t think its better than outlined to be honest.

@EngstromJimmy What if there was an opacity'ish look to them so they wouldn't stand out as much, but still be solid?

I just launched my first Squad using the Copilot CLI and @bradygaster_dev magic to kick it all off. I build a collection of VS extension skills that it uses. This will be a grand test of those skills as I embark on, perhaps my most ambitious extension project to date

On my way home from an eventful MVP Summit. The #MVPBuzz was strong this year. Everyone was full of ideas to share, and finding their path with AI Agents. Our jobs are changing, but this crew didn't feel obsolete, they were empowered.

Trash Day has been announced. Co-op adventure game where you and your friends play as raccoons scavenging junk. Made by ex-Rocket League developers. The game supports up to 4 players online and is coming to PC via Steam.
