@PuckDontLie It’s more likely that the majority of NHL players are from white, affluent, blue collar families. Which the majority of are conservative

That's what happens when you take a group of men who mostly stopped going to school after the 10th grade...

Seriously, though, why not just stay at the Trop? @RaysBaseball could easily spend far less than the billions proposed for the new stadium in Tampa and use it to invest in the area around the Trop. Just saying. 🤷

@TayVictoria8 I’ll never understand why it’s all the way and the end of st Pete. Who thought that was a good place for a stadium ?

If you only know Tropicana Field as a joke, you never really knew it at all.
The roof, the catwalks, and the quirks are all easy jabs. But after this past year, I think a lot more people finally understood what Rays fans have known for a long time: it may not have been glamorous, but it took care of this team. And it took care of us, too.
Seeing the roof torn apart revealed so much more than a baseball field underneath. It showed what had been taken away, the part that made it feel safe, familiar, and ours.
Maybe that’s why so many of us loved it exactly as it was. It’s not perfect, but it’s ours.
And while I’m excited for the future, after having to live without it, I think a lot of us are going back with a deeper appreciation for what she means to us.
Thank you to everyone who brought her back, and then some.
See you tomorrow, sweet dome. #RaysUp

@nickgerli1 There are also 1.5 million illegals that have left or been removed as well. They were a huge chunk of the demand.

Rental market deflation is spreading across Florida.
In a metro like Cape Coral, apartment rents have been cut 25%.
From a high of $1,695/month in 2022 peak down to $1,272/month.
That's almost back to pre-pandemic norms (within 12%), and a signal that renters in Florida are regaining leverage.
Of course - landlords are not happy, and many are on the verge of default as a result of these rent cuts.
But this how corrections work. And it's great news for renters and first-time buyers in Florida: affordability is being slowly restored.

Tampa, FL just hit its lowest migration level on record.
A net 1,539 people left Tampa's metro area in 2025 - the first decline ever recorded going back four decades.
Worse yet - birth rates are plummeting, and the area now has more deaths than births.
This is happening due to a dramatic affordability crisis in Tampa, St. Petersburg, and Clearwater. The entire metro became very expensive during the pandemic, and locals can't afford it, so they're leaving.
The only saving grace for the Florida Bay Area was international migration, which kept overall population growth slightly positive at +13,000.
However, this was also the lowest level in nearly 40 years.
