Ryan's been going through a adult social care assessment to assess if the daycentres he attends are still suitable, sometimes these assessments are used to reduce costs, reduce services, this one was really quick only took 4 weeks, good news is, no reduction in services, and Ryan will carry on going to his daycentre with no changes 🥳

Call for Families: Help Us Shape the Conversation on Education Reform The Down’s Syndrome Association is preparing for media coverage in response to the forthcoming Department for Education Schools White Paper, expected in the coming weeks. We have already been approached by the BBC and anticipate that additional opportunities will arise. We are looking for several families to be on standby for a range of potential opportunities. Who we’re looking for - families with children who meet the following criteria: •Their child has Down’s syndrome. •Their child is aged between 5 and 16 years old. •Their child has a current Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP). •Their child attends mainstream school, resourced provision/unit, or special school. •They are based in England.
