I've got a batch of bread dough resting in the fridge to be baked tomorrow; ingredients laid out for cinnamon buns to be made later; about a kilo of chicken wings dismantled and some ready for stock making later. I may have overdone it this morning, I'm totally shattered.

Twenty minutes very gentle riding on the turbo... First time on a bike in three weeks. Really quite painful, and very tiring. Still not sure if it was a good idea.

Still in hospital. Still in pain. Still not sleeping. Doctors want more scans done today.

It's now 8 days since I was last outside. That's an eternity for me. I'm not sure I've ever gone that long without getting outside before in my life. Urgh. Why?!

Just spent a good half hour or so educating my daughters on Simon and Garfunkel. Bridge over troubled water reduced the youngest (6) to tears.

Best part of 3 hours blasting around the lake in my Europe (GBR60) in F4-5. Fantastic fun, some proper planing on reaches, hard hiking on the beats. Good training session, lots of mark roundings, picking laylines, tacking on shifts. Great fun!
