I see a lot of talk about SPO: “You need to do SPO!” But I don’t think many people realize what that actually entails.
Do not, under any circumstances, go to your seat level and start slashing sellers globally. SPO should be done at the line item level. Yes, there are some sellers you can cut across the board, but I am not here to call anyone out.
The right approach is to identify the most efficient and cleanest paths to inventory and include only those sellers, exchanges, and/or PMPs at the line item level. Exclusions always leave room for junk to slip through.
When done right, curation automates SPO for you.
