Spent the weekend celebrating my sister’s wedding 💍 🥂

It’s so sad that I speak 5 languages and I didn’t teach them a single one and speak only English at home 🤦🏽‍♀️ I could’ve supported them to become trilingual 😭😭

If I have another child, I will definitely support them to be independent for school but as for language. I would rather teach them their home language instead of English… my two older ones go to tuition to learn our home language 🤦🏽‍♀️ they don’t know a single word 🤦🏽‍♀️

My daughter decided to have 2 birthday celebrations - one with her friends where I took them all to Drayton Manor… and today we had a family picnic to celebrate with only family 💕

My girls decided to use their birthday money to treat their friends to a birthday outing today - right between their birthdays! I have to say, that was such a smart move! They even split the cost for each friend they invited.

I did buns and croissants some stuffed with chocolate and some with cheese but just to keep it bit healthy I sprinkled black seeds… after dinner they want pancakes because I couldn’t make some on pancakes day 🤭 kids don’t forget 🤣

I wish I had a laminating machine at home 🤣 I would’ve created small cards for them which can be useful when they’re doing work at home. The way they side eyed me when I suggested this earlier 😆

So i realised that my daughter struggles with identifying language techniques when doing comprehension. So I wrote meaning and examples to learn to identify them then put multiple questions together so she can practice while looking at the examples to begin with 🤗.

Just completed 1 hour revision but now I need coffee to kick start the day then to wakey wakey the kids. My daughter says every morning to me ‘ mummy I’m so proud of you. You always doing your work’ and that really motivates me 🥹

This is one of those situations when you lost but still won. I’m grateful for last night. No regrets to get in ring one last time. I almost died in June. Had 8 blood transfusions. Lost half my blood and 25lbs in hospital and had to fight to get healthy to fight so I won. To have my children see me stand toe to toe and finish 8 rounds with a talented fighter half my age in front of a packed Dallas Cowboy stadium is an experience that no man has the right to ask for. This is my first book and a step into learning how to ensure that my daughter is supported throughout her academic journey.

I will ensure to break all the stigma and barriers associated with dyslexia to ensure that my child never have to feel less than or unable to reach her potential. I will provide a dyslexic friendly environment for her.

First of all, no one is born with knowledge! Secondly, we all need our individual way of learning. If people are provided with the right tools, they will achieve their goals and reach their potential.

It’s the myth for me that people think dyslexia is an intellectual disability 🤦🏽‍♀️ assuming that dyslexic people can’t read or write 🤦🏽‍♀️

My daughter is owed an apology! Imagine going through school trying so hard yet there was a barrier. This not what education should look like! It’s so unfair to an innocent child. Also just imagine how if I didn’t advocate for her, she’d feel inadequate. I’m so disappointed!
