@goodsportztakez @DonBernovich Bears twitter gets a lot of delusional Packer fans that absolutely do not have him fringe top 10, so perception of some fans is skewed by that. I agree nationally he’s perceived that way (correctly, I think)

@DonBernovich If you think Caleb is underrated by general consensus then I think you’re living in a Bears bubble because he’s been pretty universally praised for last season

The Colston Loveland vs Tucker Kraft debate is fun until you realize that Loveland’s age 21 rookie season (58/713/6) was the same as Krafts’ at the FCS level (65/773/6) and more productive than any season he’s had in the NFL Plus they’re on the same level as blockers already

@EricoLotufo @scott_pianowski @bofre82 Exactly this.hes taking the lessons we learned from moneyball and pretending it was common sense then..it wasn’t. Baseball overvalued guys like Damon..he was able to replace him cheaply and change how players were valued across baseball..so now people say “Damon wasn’t good”

@scott_pianowski @bofre82 I mean, a big part of the book was about how Damon was mediocre for the A's, but the market did not perceive him as such.

@Peter_Bukowski One reason they may choose B. Ten NBA teams have never won a title. It would mean the world to their fans to win one.

@Peter_Bukowski The Packers are very, very A Crazy to me that in my lifetime, despite 30+ years of HOF QB play for the Packers and historically inept QB play for the Bears, the Packers have been to exactly 1 more SB than the Bears, and they’ve won exactly 1 more SB

I've seen some folks argue that Edward Cabrera's decreased FB velo could simply be a matter of cooler temps at Wrigley in the early going, which might be a valid assumption. Except that his 96.5 average on March 30 in Chicago was his highest of the season so far.

@AFCDan86 @cowboyskiller88 @Tpars_boii Yeah. It gets extended if they hit on a ton of draft picks (like every team) but assuming normal returns on picks, I think they have about 2 more years in their primary window

Packers had 3 7 seeds in a row while turning over an entire roster lol doesn’t get enough credit lol Jordan love is the longest tenured player on the packers that’s the definition of a rebuild it should never be an indictment on MFL or Jordan love 😂

@cowboyskiller88 @Tpars_boii I think it’s a 3 year window for them..and last year was year 1. Then it’s going to get real tough on the cap and they’ll have not had 1st rounders for 2 years

Also Matt LaFleur is a guaranteed top 10 offense and has helped three QBs be wildly efficient. Dan Campbell caught lightning in a bottle with Johnson and Glenn but is proof a CEO head coach has clear drawbacks
Peter Bukowski@Peter_Bukowski

The perception of Dan Campbell vs Matt LaFleur is fascinating to me because whatever criticisms can be leveled at LaFleur, Campbell also has (ex: heinous playoff collapses) only he’s had less sustained success. Campbell gets graded on a curve for doing it with the Lions.

The only spot where you could argue the Bears have the better player right now today, is Burden over Golden. Where these guys go from here is a different story. Chicago’s guys are all younger.
Mark Oldacres@MarkOldacres

Heard someone say the Packers have the worst pass catchers in the NFC North (it’s a high bar) and my immediate thought was, are they worse than the Bears? Watson v Odunze Golden v Burden Reed v Raymond Kraft v Loveland Can argue most either way, Raymond defo the weakest one.

Maybe AJ Brown could tilt the field to NE, but he isn’t on the team yet and Mahomes is questionable so I’d guess Chicago

@Eliott711 Agreed. It sucks, but they belong in the 2nd tier. The only silver lining is their entire fan base is convinced they should be in the 1st tier (and they absolutely shouldn’t be). So that’s fun

@Peter_Bukowski In 4 seasons with MLf and Love, Packers are 37-30-1. Not bad, but not particularly good. Certainly not the record you’d expect from a team with an alleged top 10 QB and top 10 coach

He’s an Aaron Rodgers merchant! Ok, then surely Rodgers was playing awesome with the same offensive pieces before LaFleur got there! And surely AR was great after he left when he got to run his own offense! OH WAIT
Peter Bukowski@Peter_Bukowski

My guy @RotoPat unintentionally articulated the Matt LaFleur paradox perfectly by saying he doesn’t think LaFleur is as good a coach as his record indicates. Then to what can we attribute the winning to? Surely the elite talent on the team. Oh wait, no one thinks they have that

@EricDiemer5 @Peter_Bukowski @RotoPat It isn't just the 2 Rodgers MVP years because the Packers still won 13 games and made the NFC championship in 2019 despite a good but not incredible season from Rodgers. But yeah his record post 2021 is much worse than 2019-2021
