Congratulations and well done to @PaulJonna and the @ThomasMoreSoc team for this landmark decision. Many of us who litigated these cases on behalf of parents faced a relentless barrage of unwarranted hate and criticism from activists, politicians, and at times, our own friends and family. It was all worth it. The Supreme Court of the United States confirmed today that parents have the constitutional right to raise their children free from government deception at school. This is a great day for the Constitution, a great day for parents, and a great day for kids. 🇺🇸

🚨 BREAKING: The Supreme Court just handed a historic victory to parents over California's secret gender transition policies today, ruling 6-2 in our case Mirabelli v. Bonta. DECISION AND REACTIONS: thomasmoresociety.org/news/u-s-supre… California required schools to secretly facilitate children's gender transitions without telling parents. Teachers were forced to use different names and pronouns behind parents' backs. One family only found out their daughter had been transitioning at school after she attempted suicide. Today the Court said: enough. The justices found that California's secrecy regime likely violates both the First Amendment and the Fourteenth Amendment's protection of parental rights. The Court held that California "cut out the primary protectors of children's best interests: their parents." What makes this decision groundbreaking: the Court reaffirmed that parents—not the state—have the constitutional right to direct the upbringing of their children and to participate in decisions about their children's mental health. Even Justice Kagan in dissent said she has "no doubt" parents have these rights and that California "could have crossed the constitutional line." The class-wide injunction blocking California's policies is back in effect for a statewide class of parents. This is a historic just a win for parents and a precedent that puts every secret gender transition policy in America on notice. @PaulJonna @peterbreen

Another win for @CivilRights: Hennepin County Attorney’s Office dropped its unconstitutional policy of considering race in sentencing after we opened an investigation. Under @AGPamBondi, we will continue to take action against discriminatory practices, including by prosecutors!

Whether it is an employee, a recruiter, or an AI tool, @CivilRights will hold employers liable when they engage in illegal discrimination!

EEOC is committed to eradicating antisemitism at work. If a university will not investigate & remedy repeated allegations of antisemitism against its employees, the EEOC will.

BREAKING: 1st Detransitioner to Take a Medical-Malpractice Lawsuit to Trial Wins $2 Million Judgement Fox Varian sued her Westchester, NY, area psychologist and plastic surgeon for the gender-transition mastectomy she got at 16. I was the only reporter to attend the entire 3-week, historic trial. Subscribe to my Substack to receive an alert about the feature article I have coming out next week in a major publication out about the trial: benryan.substack.com. I cover pediatric gender medicine as a specialty on my Substack. Sorry to just give just a teaser for now about the case! But I wanted to get the word out about the verdict promptly, the slower pace of feature-article publishing notwithstanding. The entire case file was put under seal when the trial started (although I obtained all those documents before they was sealed), and all the transcripts from the trial are also under seal. The riveting trial was sparsely attended and there was only one other reporter at the trial; and he only attended for part of it and, as I observed, took few notes. So my own hundreds of pages of notes from the trial will likely remain the only way for the public to learn about the all finer details of what transpired, possibly ever (or until an appeal, should that happen). In addition to my article coming out in the media outlet soon, I intend to write a lot about what I observed and learned on my Substack over the coming weeks. Stay tuned…
