The Onodi cell is a posteriormost ethmoid air cell that extends so posterior it lies over the sphenoid sinus, which is a potential hazard if not recognized intraoperatively because they may abut the optic/carotid canals. @RADMAM2 at #ASHNR24

Over four years ago, I was diagnosed with thyroid cancer. Two years later, my mother was diagnosed with the same. We were both treated at @StanfordOHNS. Last week, as part of my 4th-year ENT Sub-Internship, I scrubbed in with the surgeon who saved our lives.

Thank you to @StanfordODME and the SCORE program for giving me this opportunity without the financial burden typically accompanying Away Sub-Internships.

It's been a surreal experience to work alongside the very team who cared for me and my mom. I'm incredibly grateful for everyone here and thankful for the chance to learn and care for patients at Stanford.

Here’s what preference signaling in the 2024-2025 residency application cycle will look like. The biggest change is both IM and Surgery moving to “big signaling” with applicants now receiving 15 signals in each.
