I bought 265 acres in Weatherford, Tx in January 2016. At the time it was rural and its purpose was to raise my kids hunting and fishing as much as possible. Fast forward to 2021 and my neighbor sells his 220 acres to a developer. I now have 2 acre lots down my entire western fenceline. That doesn’t change what we do at all, it’s just annoying sitting in the deer stand and hearing nail guns at 7 am… So now I’m left with a tough decision…the best way to monetize it would be to chop it up, replat it myself and piece off smaller lots. Or go the data center route… The last option and the one I’m leaning towards is keep it. My cost basis is so low, my kids love it, and the holding cost is minimal since it’s all in Ag. What would you do?

My 95 year old grandmother pays $2000 in property taxes & another $3000 in school taxes every single year on a house that was built in 1850 that is falling apart. She was widowed in 1973 & as a single mother of 6 worked everyday of her life until she was in her mid 70s. She gets $10,000 a year from the federal government to live on, but once you subtract $5000 in taxes she is left with $5000 for the rest of the year to buy food, supplies & bills. Are people really this uneducated on this issue? Oh my god.

Since moving from an English minority to English majority area, I feel so much safer and happier. I no longer get sexually harassed daily going outside - in fact now people politely smile and say hello. I feel safer to go out at night as there aren’t gangs of grown men. There seems to be less litter and graffiti everywhere. There are no foreign flags, only beautiful English and British ones. And all the shops are in English. I wish every English person had this. I want my children to have this. But unless something changes, England and the English people are slowly becoming extinct.

There are millions of inexpensive homes that already exist in "walkable" neighborhoods This 2000sf home is $250k in Philadelphia. 4 blocks from major subway. The problem is that the safety & schools of neighborhood are such that very few people with means choose to live here

Our societies are conducting a massive, irreversible experiment in civilizational mixing without democratic mandate or realistic expectations of assimilation. The cost is paid in native discomfort, lost cohesion, and the mental load of navigating someone else's ancient baggage (like caste hierarchies) in spaces that used to be simple. We weren't asked. We shouldn't have to learn about "Brahmin upper caste" dynamics just to shop in the US or live normally in Europe.

Healthcare is probably the only profession where people think it's okay to argue what the professionals on what they know. Nobody argues quantum physics with physicists, or law with lawyers. But everyone is an expert in healthcare.
