I think people are totally forgetting what our team would have looked like if we kept KAT. We would have had to Lose Naz Reid for nothing or trade him for a 1st, and we would never of had Donte, Randle, and Beringer. Our Roster would literally be: Ayo Ant McDaniels KAT Gobert Zero bench. That group ain’t doing anything in the west. In the east they would likely make the East Finals. East is weak still. Tim Connelly made a smart move. Now he needs to make another smart move this summer and potentially even a gamble.

I guess I’m just not sure how an impartial observer can watch his games on the road against the Bears, Lions, and Cowboys last year and not see some of the potential KOC talked about when he called him a young franchise QB in Aug 2024.

I agree with the author’s summation of the narrative. In those 2 games, JJ won NFCOPW by beating the division champs on the road, then suffered severe hi-ankle sprain in 3Q (he played thru it and shouldnt have). After that, some decided the NFL’s youngest QB1’s career was over.
