@Ericote69 @freakoutsideofx It is possible to get whipped in the face mistakenly if you move around a lot. I know my brother occasionally would get whipped in the face cuz he was so scared & he wouldnt stand there & get his whippings he would be jumping & running about & I think Mike was similarly scared!

@Ericote69 @freakoutsideofx When performing they always wore long sleeve shirts and pants! I doubt he hit them in the face! As someone who was whipped with an extension cord as a child those bruises can clear up in as little as 2 days, sometimes it only take a day!

@Ericote69 @freakoutsideofx That's the point of the oiling down. Less friction means less skin scratches/defined bruising (note, we're talking about darker skin on a child who wore long sleeves.) Force is stronger when concentrated, which is why the iron cord instead of the leather end of a belt.

Back then, there were no cell phones. If they were still in school, no one was carrying cameras to school. There was no internet. And most kids in the area were getting disciplined via some level of corporal punishment, so these type of abuses fell through the cracks. The Jackson kids were truly abused by their father. That’s way beyond a spanking. 🥺
