We won't be far behind if C-22 passes. In its current state, VPNs would almost certainly require us to log identifying user data. Signal isn't headquartered in Canada so they can just shut off Canadian servers, but our HQ is. We pay an ungodly amount of taxes to this corrupt government, and in return they want to destroy the entire essence of our service to basically spy on its own citizens. Not happening. We'll move HQ and take our taxes elsewhere.

That’s why a network of pro-CCP politicians, “community leaders” and “grassroots groups” in Canada are doing everything they could to distort any foreign registry proposal, using racism card and calling such registry “modern exclusion.” How many Eileen Wang are there in Canada?
Byron Wan@Byron_Wan

‼️ Arcadia mayor Eileen Wang has resigned after reaching plea agreement ‼️ May 11: Arcadia mayor Eileen Wang has been charged in federal court with acting as an illegal agent of China. She is charged via information with one count of acting in the US as an illegal agent of a foreign government. Wang has agreed to plead guilty to the felony count, which comes with a statutory maximum sentence of 10 years in federal prison. (The plea deal was already done last month but was just unsealed today.) Wang appeared in federal court in downtown Los Angeles during a brief hearing today, where a judge instructed her lawyers to set a date when she would formally enter a guilty plea. Wang is expected to plead guilty in the coming weeks. Wang resigned as Arcadia mayor after the case became public in the afternoon. Wang was elected in Nov 2022 to the Arcadia City Council, a 5-person governing body from which the mayor is selected on a rotating basis.  According to her plea agreement, from late 2020 through 2022, Wang and Yaoning “Mike” Sun worked at the direction and control of 🇨🇳 government officials and coordinated with US-based individuals to promote China’s interests by, among other things, promoting pro-China propaganda in the US.  Sun is serving a 4-year federal prison sentence after he pleaded guilty in Oct 2025 to acting as an illegal agent of a foreign government. Wang and Sun worked together to operate US News Center, a website that purported to be a news source for the local Chinese American community. Wang and Sun received and executed directives from 🇨🇳 government officials to post pro-China content on the website. For example, in June 2021, a 🇨🇳 official contacted Wang and other individuals via the WeChat encrypted messaging application with pre-written news articles, including a 🇨🇳 official-written essay in the Los Angeles Times that stated: “China’s Stance on the Xinjiang Issue – There is no genocide in Xinjiang; there is no such thing as ‘forced labor’ in any production activity, including cotton production. Spreading such rumor to do defame China, destroy Xinjiang’s safety and stability, weaken local economy, suppress China’s development[.]” Minutes later, Wang posted the article on her own website and responded to the 🇨🇳 official with a link to the article on her website. The others in the group chat did the same. The 🇨🇳 official responded: “So fast, thank you everyone.” In Aug 2021, Wang and three other members of the same group chat shared links to the same article on their respective “news” websites, after which the 🇨🇳 official thanked them for their “reporting.” At the 🇨🇳 official’s request, Wang made edits to the article, sent the official a link to the article reflecting the requested change, then sent the official a screenshot showing the article had been viewed 15,128 times. In response, the official messaged, “Great!,” Wang replied, “Thank you leader.” In Nov 2021, Wang communicated with John Chen, a high-level member of the 🇨🇳 intelligence apparatus, who regularly attended elite Chinese Communist Party functions, including military parades, and met personally with 🇨🇳 Xi Jinping. Wang asked Chen to post a “news” article from her website, and wrote, “This is what the Ministry of Foreign Affairs wants to send.” Chen was sentenced in Nov 2024 to 20 months in federal prison after pleading guilty in the Southern District of New York to acting as an illegal agent of China and conspiracy to bribe a public official. Wang admitted in her plea agreement that she did not notify the Attorney General that she was acting in the US as an agent of China, that she was located in the US when she engaged in these acts, and that did she not disclose on her website that some of its content had been posted at the direction of members of the 🇨🇳 government. justice.gov/usao-cdca/pr/a… nypost.com/2026/05/11/us-… latimes.com/california/sto… latimes.com/california/sto… x.com/byron_wan/stat…

Sounds familiar? We have no lack of Eileen Wang in 🇨🇦. But we don’t have a genuine & functioning Foreign Agent Registry to flush them out & hold them accountable. They are doing everything to squash/dilute such registry. They know they are working against Canadian interests.
Byron Wan@Byron_Wan

Arcadia City Councilmember Eileen Wang (王爱琳) has close ties with both pro-CCP individuals/groups in the US and united front groups in China. Wang has been working very very closely with Yaoning “Mike” Sun (孙耀宁) over the years. Wang also actively participated in various events hosted by 🇨🇳 Consulate General in Los Angeles. Wang was backed by prominent pro-CCP figures in California — including Sue Zhang (张素久), Charles Lu (鹿强), Zhang Yong (张勇), Jiang Fengnian (江风年), Xuan Guojun (宣国军), etc — when she ran for city council in 2022. Wang spoke in a forum celebrating the 100th anniversary of the founding of the CCP led by 🇨🇳 Consul General in Los Angeles Zhang Ping (张平) and other prominent pro-CCP figures in southern California in 2021 (icitynews.com/?p=306545). Wang was the president and Sun was the chairman of the executive committee of American Southwest Chamber of Commerce USA (美国加州华人总商会) (52hrtt.com/mobileview/inf…). Wang was the founding chair and Sun was the Executive Chairman of US California Music and Art Association (美国加州音乐艺术协会) (icitynews.com/?p=284175). In Apr 2019, Wang set up the 🇨🇳 Sichuan branch of the American Southwest Chamber of Commerce USA while she was President of the organization; the opening ceremony was hosted by Tian Bihua (田碧华), the Vice Chair of united front group Sichuan Provincial Returned Overseas Chinese Association (四川省侨联) (sc.sina.cn/finance/2019-0…). In Nov 2019, Wang made a trip to 🇨🇳 Sichuan province with Sun to make donations to 10 poor students at a local primary school in Shehong (射洪市); the trip was also hosted by 🇨🇳 Sichuan Provincial Returned Overseas Chinese Association (四川省侨联) (scql.gov.cn/xwzx/qlyw/2019…). Interestingly, in the news article it’s specifically mentioned that the united front department of Shehong’s Party Committee was actively involved.

Toyota once had a Vice President who never went to college. His name is Mitsuru Kawai. He joined Toyota in 1966 at age 18 and was sent to the forge shop. His father had died when he was 10, so he took the only path he could afford: Toyota's in-house technical school for kids straight out of junior high. They paid you to learn. Half a century later, he became Vice President. The first technical worker in Toyota's history to ever hold that title. Today he is 78 and serves as Executive Fellow. Inside the company, everyone just calls him "Oyaji." Pops. When he was Vice President, he never used the office on the 15th floor. His desk stayed in the forge building, where it had always been. Same locker since 1966. He still arrives at the factory at 6am every morning. Soaks in the workers' bath, the "forge hot spring," for a full hour. Then walks the floor. Eats in the workers' canteen. Wears a work uniform, not a suit. In the bath, young guys tease him. "Hey Pops, hungover again?" Nobody calls him by his title. Nobody ever has. When he was promoted to Executive Officer, they gave him a private office in the corporate tower. He never opened the door. Not once in two years. He eventually got curious and asked his secretary to take a photo so he could see what was inside. People ask him why he won't leave the floor. His answer: "If I can't hear the sounds, smell the smells, feel the buzz of the floor, my instincts get dull." "When you tighten a bolt, it slides in easy at first, gets heavier, and clicks three times when it's properly seated. Kachi. Kachi. Kachi. There's a rhythm to it. A good foreman walks past and just knows when the rhythm is off. That's the feel you need." A sensor tells you pass or fail. Only an ear knows when the rhythm broke. Kawai got up at 5 this morning. Soaked in the forge bath for an hour. Same as yesterday. Same as 60 years ago. He's 78. He was Vice President. Nothing about him has changed. Maybe that's what a strong company actually looks like.

The Bank of Canada is now reporting that the counter-tariffs implemented by the Liberals last year did impact both inflation and food inflation. This is exactly what our Lab had been saying for months, but few reporters wanted to hear it. Sad.

‼️ CONFIRMED: Bill C-22 is far more than just handing over your IP and contact info like Minister “Gun Grab Gary” claimed. He can secretly order your devices' microphones to be activated to remotely eavesdrop inside your home — on mere “reasonable grounds to suspect.”

There was a banner on the wall of a building in Manhattan's Chinatown that read "Fuzhou Police Overseas Service Station, New York USA." The defense says it was a ping-pong club. The federal trial of Lu Jianwang, 64, a naturalized American citizen known as Harry Lu, opened May 6 in Brooklyn. Prosecutors say he ran a covert outpost of China's Ministry of Public Security out of a six-story glass building wedged between a hotel and a spa in Chinatown, operating without notifying US authorities, tracking pro-democracy dissidents, and coordinating harassment campaigns against Chinese nationals who dared criticize Beijing from American soil. The evidence emerging from Day Two is what makes this trial significant beyond a single defendant. FBI forensic analysis of Lu's deleted files recovered 2,619 WeChat chat records from three groups created by a Fuzhou Public Security Bureau officer. One group had 65 members drawn from overseas police service stations across multiple countries. The recovered messages showed Fuzhou directing the New York station to submit event schedules, approve press releases before publication, and arrange for Chinese technicians to install a Huawei cloud system connecting the Manhattan outpost directly to the Fuzhou Public Security Bureau, described internally as enabling "backend police-overseas residents access permissions." The architecture extends far beyond New York. Photographs introduced by prosecutors show the founding ceremony of the global "Overseas 110" program in January 2022, with association presidents from Spain, France, Canada, and the Netherlands all present as the original five-nation launch. Canada has conducted RCMP investigations into related Fujian chamber of commerce networks. No charges have been filed there. The station's activities, per the DOJ, included locating and surveilling Chinese dissidents, threatening family members still in China, and targeting a pro-democracy advocate who advised a 2022 New York congressional candidate. A related case captured a Chinese Ministry of State Security officer on voicemail saying "Beat him, beat him until he cannot run for election." The defense says Lu was simply helping his community renew driver's licenses and play ping-pong. The deleted WeChat messages to a Ministry of Public Security handler suggest otherwise. #China #CCP #Espionage #NewYork #TransnationalRepression #FBI #Huawei #NationalSecurity #Geopolitics #UnitedFront

🚨Jim Jordan's House Judiciary Committee — the same one that exposed & helped dismantle Mark Carney's GFANZ climate cartel for antitrust collusion... is now zeroing in on Carney's Bill C-22 This isn't just a Canadian privacy nightmare. It's a direct threat to American trade, tech, and security Why? Because Carney's 'Lawful Access Act' would force companies (including US Big Tech operating in Canada - including X) to build backdoors, retain massive user metadata, and hand it over more easily to government. Undermines encryption. Chills investment. Creates divergent standards that fragment the internet and raise compliance costs for American firms. Canadians know America doesn't need its closest trading partner turning into a surveillance state that scares off innovation and forces US companies into impossible compliance choices. Free societies don't mandate spyware on apps and devices. Leave that to China Jordan is right to treat this as a trade & competition issue. Canada: Kill C-22. Protect privacy, property rights, and cross-border commerce @JudiciaryGOP @Jim_Jordan (h/t @mgeist — link to letter in reply)
