@pranavrajpurkar I find it useful to especially for subjective task. It will be forced to provide a good answer and not tag a bad one as good using an adjective.

My PhD student has reported that all writing by ChatGPT is improved by adding "Don't use adjectives." at the end of the prompt. We are soliciting feedback on this prompting strategy.

@micsolana Seems like it. But to me its just a proof that we are still apes in a thing we can't start to comprehend

about the origin of the universe —  either some things come from nothing, which is impossible given nothing is nothing or some things are eternal, which is impossible because all things come from something right?

@DavidDeutschOxf I feel like most of us find this AI more powerful than it really is because it state his answer without doubt. Even if its as ridiculous as your example

In The Beginning of Infinity I invented a story to illustrate that even logically consistent fiction can be a bad explanation. I asked ChatGPT about it:

@VitalikButerin @OpenAI @StableDiffusion Idk if they can do it but It would be great to add "confidence %" like we had for image recognition. For it will say the most outrageous thing with what seems full confidence

A particular tragedy that is totally not the @OpenAI @StableDiffusion and co builders' fault, is that people's expectations (including my own) get set by the dazzling stuff that goes viral, and its average case performance inevitably can't match that.

My one-sentence summary of the AI right now is that it does amazing stuff but it has a high error rate. This is why it both impresses and frustrates: the times it does really well go viral on twitter, the times it makes a mistake frustrate people using it as a work aid.

@veH0rny @DegenSpartan In the short term. Long term fitness for a society requires an alignement with reality.

@Beknownst2me @realGeorgeHotz Search is asking for information. Google guides you to the articles etc that provides it while this digested everything and directly gives it to you. You can also ask specific question the provided info and it will refine it. Think of it as asking a friend for info vs googling

@banteg This does no seem to be an abuse of the contract intent or even consequential to its future usage. Why would you call it an Hack ?

🚨 weth hack went unnoticed since 2019 after investigating more than 90 million deposit and withdrawal events, i've found a supply discrepancy between the total supply weth contract reports and the actual outstanding weth.

@IamNomad Also, its in the iterative process of making defi better for at some point it will work. Cefi is still hidden behind walls and we can but only rely on the good faith of its actors.

@IamNomad People write the craziest books. At the end of the day code and the written word are just information. I don't see how it can be a crime. Should the scientific writing papers explaining the creation of a virus be jailed ? The physicist with a bomb creation ? Its just nonsense
