🚨 I let AI design a completely insane PCB… and it actually works I gave Claude + Cursor + Flux + KiCad one crazy prompt: “Design a credit-card-sized PCB that can run a small neural network without any GPU, generate AI art in real-time, and run on USB-C power only.” What I got back blew my mind: * 6-layer board * Weird analog “neuron” circuits using discrete transistors * USB-C that handles both power + video output * And components that don’t even exist 😂 Full prompt + KiCad files + Gerbers dropping in the comments if enough people want it.Is this the future of hardware or just peak AI hallucination? i let Fable 5 do the full placement + routing on a 6-layer industrial board. 32 isolated channels, 5A each, CAN bus, +24V power plane. pulled the JLCPCB quote today — $61, fully assembled, 5 days to my door. never actually sent an AI-designed board to fab before. genuinely can't tell if ordering it is brilliant or stupid. would you pull the trigger?

update: it heard you. same AI, same board, after one feedback loop: 96 LEDs (double the last one), actual concentric rings this time, li-ion + USB-C charging, and every ref designator… hidden - because the assembly files exist, so technically who's it hurting. routing done. copper pours next. still confident. slightly less wrong.

asked the AI to place a 48-LED board. front: the "concentric rings" are more of a vibe than a fact, and it parked a few LEDs directly on the mounting holes. back: it stacked every reference designator into one unreadable pile and called it done. confident. so confident. wrong, but confident.
